We are friends with a very succesful lesbian couple. Two of three adopted kids are married (to opposite genders with no faking) These children have successful careers as professionals.

He never said that he was taking a personal day.
He said he was on his personal time when a reporter was hounding him with questions while he was walking down the street after work hours.
He referred her to the several other interviews he had done that day.
You know, on the day you said he didn't work.

There is a good reason two women or two men can't make babies together.
