Walgreens just lost my money. Feel the pain.

Michael Moore
called for a nationwide boycott of Walgreens after the company announced it would not sell abortion pills in 20 states where attorney generals have threatened legal action. The Republican attorneys general for 20 states recently threatened legal action against Walgreens if the pharmacy sold mifepristone in their states. This follows the reversal of Roe v Wade by the Supreme Court, which has given states far more power in regulating abortion procedures. Moore called the Supreme Court’s reversal a “legal whipping of women” in his Walgreens declaration. On his website, Moore accused the store chain of treating women like “second class citizens” with their decision.“This decision by Walgreens to further cement women’s status as second-class citizens must be met forcefully by each and every one of us. Moore called for a “nationwide boycott” until Walgreens reverses their decision. He urged his fans to tell Walgreens they would not shop there anymore and to issue warnings to other pharmacies who may follow the chain’s lead.
“Let Walgreens know you have stopped shopping there. Let the other pharmaceutical chains know you’ll do the same to them if they follow Walgreens’ lead. Picket your local Walgreens,” Moore wrote. “Tell the White House to stand strong, and let your members of Congress know this is one of your top issues in deciding how you will vote next year.”Moore referred to the Supreme Court at this country’s “Taliban.”“This Court’s actions have solidified their role as our Taliban, our Church of England, our Spanish Inquisition,” he wrote.

This is the ego that I am referring to among progressives. This moron thinks that he is so important, that Walgreens, and everyone else, gives a **** that he isn't going to shop there. Neal Young did the same **** with Spotify. The level of ego is insufferable. That is progressives for you. They genuinely believe that they are more important than everyone else.

Ego high, IQ low.

WalMart wants to avoid legal expenses and does not profit all that much from selling these two Rx drugs. WalMart is cowardly and gutless.

I do not see how the Forced Birthers are going to prevent people from getting abortion drugs through the mail or from allies in other states.

Everytime the progressives start calling for boycotts I always think back to when they tried that **** with Chick-fil-A a few years back... and restaurants across the Country had to have traffic control to handle the crowds after.

True. They never learn. Their boycotts usually backfire.

We use a local independent pharmacy so, I could really care less what Mikey Moore does or says.

Walgreens is better than CVS hands down, at least around here anyway.

I like my independent though. We've been using them for probably the last 10 years, and they are as quick and reliable as the chain outfits, and is locally owned to boot.

Same goes for hardware and stuff for the house. My locally owned True Value is always my go to, and Lowes and Home Depot get the leftovers if they don't have what I need. More than not they do though.

Good way to do it. We have no local pharmacies around here but CVS for whatever reason are just no comparison to Walgreens here either.

CVS is more expensive than Walgreens. There is a Walgreens near me. but I have given up on them. When I dropped off a prescription, they would call and tell me it was ready. I would go to the store and there would be a line of seven or eight people. After waiting for half an hour, they would tell me my Rx was not ready and to wait until they had it. Another half hour.

So I use Publix. When they say a prescription is ready, it always has been ready.

For OTC stuff, I use Family Dollar.
