would you be in favor of our government becoming  a theocracy?

a government that rules solely on the teachings of the Bible?

We currently have a government that rules by the Cult of Climate Change and Social Justice now, so what's the difference?

Every move the last Congress and the Biden Admin made in the last two years (other that spending billions on a proxy war in Ukraine) has had something to do with either MMGW or Social Justice.

Even the Dems admit that the "Inflation Reduction Act" was really just an amended version of the Green New Deal... and that was Biden's signature legislation.

Theocracy? Yeah... we already got one.

Not a theocracy in the least, cult like is different

we will change the next time republicans get control, they will cut regulations, start the wars that they support and cut taxes for the oligarchs.. cult like

a theocracy is permanent, it is not subject to change when the powers that be change

i was just curious if people on the right would really want to go that far

As for me, no. Theocracies are dangerous... and besides, our Constitution, as written, doesn't allow them.

I don't know of anyone personally that has ever advocated for Theocracy either.

That’s why the first amendment(religious clause)exists in the first place.

Religious persecution was a huge problem back then and so was theocracy.

It strikes a balance between citizens having a protected right to practice their religion as they see fit, while also ensuring no specific religion controls government and allows said persecution.

This is why what the FBI did by targeting Catholics is a gross violation of first amendment rights and people should be in prison for it.

A Christian theocracy would be okay. Every Amish village is basically governed as such, and they do fine

The Amish have adapted an interpretation of the Bible to rural German life in the mid-1800's and being as no one drafts them into armies or attacks them, they do well in the US, as well as in Paraguay, Brazil and Belize.

The closest thing to a theocracy was probably Florence during 1494 t0 1498 when Girolamo Savanarola took charge. The period was known as the "Bonfire of the Vanities". Eventually, the Pope and others grew tired of Savalarola and burned him and a couple of his colleagues. It is said that it took three hours to incinerate him.

The Muslims already have a legal system, Sharia Law. That might be the most practical choice.

What we have now is a Bureaucratic Dictatorship.  I might prefer a theocracy over the bloated, self-entitled bureaucracy that plagues this country at this very moment.

How about a govenment that doesn't represent misdirection of evolving in plain sight?

that kind of idea that wrote the original Constitution of America where intellect wasn't the rule by consensus practice historically before or since it was written, even in the country formed by it in less than 4 score and 7 years America faught for international soverignty starting in 1776..
