Obviously a 6 year old can’t be held responsible but I’d like more facts on the gun security. 

AN INTERESTING NOTE:

Zwerner claimed the student had a history of violent behavior at the school and accused the school's assistant principal of failure to act despite being told repeatedly that the student had a gun at school, her lawyer alleged in a letter notifying the district of the intent to file a lawsuit last month. 
NOTED:  ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL WAS BLACK


The student had been suspended the day before the shooting because he "slammed Ms. Zwerner's phone breaking it" and had cursed at the guidance counselors," according to the letter.
The student had allegedly been removed from the school a year prior after he "choked his teacher until she couldn't breathe," according to the letter."This school year, the shooter was put on a modified schedule in the fall of 2022 after the school year had started because he constantly cursed at the staff and teachers and then one day took off his belt on the playground and chased kids trying to whip them," according to the letter.

The problem is that you don't believe that people have the right to live in the gender that was not assigned to them at birth.
I do.
Not all of them choose to have the painful and expensive surgery that will change their body parts to match their brain.

It is much more likely that a trans woman would be assaulted using a men's bathroom than a child would be assaulted by a cis man pretending to be a woman in a lady's bathroom.

I would bet that the incidents of trans women being beaten or killed is much higher than the number of children assaulted in bathrooms or showers by cis men pretending to be women.

And a lot of that has to do with the ignorance on the subject by people like you and your compatriots on this forum.

The mother's lawyer said it was in a locked box on a high shelf in a closet.
But of course that's what they would say.

Yes, the story left out a lot of information, didn't it.  Because if this was some white family, they would have given you everything on the dad including what he's posted to any forum he's been on lately. 

 

They mentioned the mother because the gun was purchased by her and registered in her name.
You have no idea what race she belongs to or if the dad lives in the home but you so desperately want her to be a single black mother (and while that is possible) you can't know that for a fact at this point.

I don't care what color she is or if she even knows who the kid's father is.
I still believe she should be held accountable.

Maybe the mother didn't even know the gun was in their house. It's possible that and older sibling or somebody else living in the home had it, and the mother had no clue. Maybe the kid got it from a friend's house even.

I agree that whoever gave this kid access to the firearm should face some charges, but without knowing all the facts, it's irrational to instantly blame the mom.

It wasn't always the Libs that it was happening to...  I had someone do that to me here some years ago, where my Avatar and Profile were altered in the same manner... I also was unable to take what  the person did down.. What's worse, and if I remember correctly, I am pretty sure it was someone who had Moderator powers here at the time.. I asked the other Mods to fix it for me, and they were unable to.. As result, I left the form for some years, and just recently came back a few months ago...  This forum gives us plenty of space & format tools to politically slug it out, on what's supposed to be a level playing field... Win some, lose some, that's the gig... Members get angry, hurt, take stuff personally, look smart, look dumb, attack, retreat etc, so be it whatever... But it should be kept in the Ring so to speak... It would be the right thing to do, for whoever changed these Avatars/Profiles to put them back to their original state.. I'm sure they hold their own in these scraps, without needing to hack into people's accounts... Just my opinion.
