They just never reveal their thoughts to you.
They do not explore simply for curiosity sake.  Perhaps driven more by a search for food, mating, more secure place to life.  But, humans explore simply for curiosity sake. To know the unknown.  While not completely dissimilar to that of animals, our compunction to explore is far beyond anything observed in primates or cetaceans.

Go color some paper and fold it in such a way that it proves that the proper scientific attitude is to assume that absolute truths can always be proven.

Why would it be quite rare, but even if it is, the universe is a really big place, simple statistics guarantee sentient aliens are out there... and FTL isn't against the laws of physics.. it took us only a few decades to get from wooden airplanes to rockets and to the moon, if aliens are hundreds or thousands of years ahead of us in technology there no reason they couldn't make it work.. and visit the zoo and have a good laugh...

Self evident evolving isn't unknown. You keep projecting human intellect is a higher form of evolving when it is just a higher aptitude to adapting to the moment because the human form has so many body movements operated from a single brain.

Now, out of a single brain, what part of the fertilized cell was the nucleus to the body born? pick an organ a body developed around by birth. Full circle to Brain, full content to ancestral DNA placed in every cell since it began dividing into the ancestor occupying space after birth.

Every lifetime arrives the same way to proportioned numbers here. So what is the unknown? what comes next, here.

How to manage the unknown and make the outcome socially predictable? Tah dah, rule of law. Poweer of suggestion got translated to mind over matter, symbolism over substance, context controls behavior of content evolving here now.

Back to what is unknown in self evident results here now each brain isn't navigating space at the same time being great great grandparent generation, part of great grandparents generation, alive in the grandparent generation, parenting the arrival of each great great grandchild.

No matter how you divert away from evolving is genetics eternally separating reproductions here in plain sight, it all comes back to reproductions are eternally separated now.

Karma.

It is beginning to appear rare because 1) there is no sign of advanced life (or any life as of yet) in our solar system 2) nor is there any sign of life on exoplanets discovered in other star systems; and 3) with all of our attempts (SETI, etc. ) to explore the Universe for signs of life, the only thing we have come up with is the "WOW Signal".  Now, they could be purposely hiding from us, but if they aren't, then it does seem that intelligent life, life capable of leaving the orbit of their own planet, may be extremely rare.

Don't you dare talk DNA to me.  Not until you first learn the basic bio-mechanics of what you attempt to speak. Your blithe references to DNA unrobes your true, rather limited intellectual capacity naked as a jaybird before my very eyes, Omh.

the self righteous intellectual mind of "we" again. I see that "who do you think you are? " "attitude" raging forward. I descrbe what I am exactly how I am occupying space equally timed apart now.
I explained how I arrived just like any other form of life native to this atmosphere extinct or still reproducing.

Equality without equity of maybe.

We are far more interested in human behavior than that of other species.\The point is moot, because cats, rats and octopi are clearly incapable of inventing anything capable of leaving the Earth.

If any of this **** happened, it was over long ago. There are artifacts that have endured thousands of years that confound people today with all of our supposed advanced technology.

Also, an interesting aspect of human nature is this: We have a tendency to think "They don't build things like they used to. People took pride in their workmanship back then. This is almost a work of art. Etc."
Well, think about it this way. The only things that survived from our ancestors is the good stuff. All the crappy stuff was junk worth throwing into the fire. That crap isn't around anymore. We end up with a slightly skewed view looking at only what remains from then.
They must've built some real junk back then too. Stupid lazy assholes weren't recently invented...

So, now we are to look at only what remains from millennia ago and figure out who did that.
The only thing that CAN last that long are basically rocks. HUGE, carefully fit blocks...
Some kind of civilization did that.
SJC will attest to it being socialists... People/entities working together. ;)
Human cave dwellers? Bush ******? Unlikely.

Point is that there is only SOME evidence left.
Doesn't mean there's anyone here anymore. Doesn't discount it either.
World wide there are structures, old as the hills quite literally, that cannot be explained.
Where that civilization came from or went may never be known.
Please seat yourself.

So I don't think we can say that interstellar travel is IMPOSSIBLE.

I tend to agree.  I would not say that interstellar travel is impossible.  But, I would say this about it:
  • It is not possible given our current understanding of physics and quantum mechanics
  • Unless we are missing something huge (which is possible), we really do have a good, workable, provable model of quantum mechanics and astrophysics as well.
  • Interstellar travel as we envision it (straight-line travel from point to point) would take huge amounts of energy, even if theoretically possible
A president who stated conclusively that there have never been visitations by aliens to Earth would create more problems than it would solve.
I wouldn't be looking for something like that.  I don't think most people would.  What I would be looking for would be for a President, not as he takes office, but prior to leaving the office to say something like this:

"While much of what I am about to say is classified, I will let you know that we have been visited by beings from other planets; they are called_______, and there is nothing to be alarmed or concerned over.  They are merely observing and do not desire to interact with us at this time" or

"I have consulted with the following agencies, specifically to determine whether we have been visited by aliens.  We have not.  I can assure everyone that after a thorough investigation of these agencies, we have been able to determine that no one in the US government knows anything more than all of you.  We simply have had no contact with beings from any other planet or star system.

There is more that we do not know than there is that we know.
This will likely always be true.

We can say that it it exceedingly improbable, or that if we are entirely accurate about all features regarding travel, then it is likely to be impossible.

A president who stated conclusively that there have never been visitations by aliens to Earth would create more problems than it would solve.

To discuss it may be philosophically entertaining and stimulating, but as of now, a useless endeavor if attempting to achieve a true answer.

I believe "aliens" are terrestrial. They obviously have interest in human events, sightings seem to spike during times of historical significance. Very common during wwii for instance. That leads me to believe they are perhaps human time travelers on a sight seeing and intelligence gathering mission. The fact their numbers are currently up might indicate we are in for some interesting times.

Aliens have been here... and absolutely  DO visit.
I even believe the stories about Atlantis- the big nuclear war. yup.

i have been visited many times since a little girl. But hate to talk about it- because i sound like a NUT.

  • The radiation coming from something that would accelerate a spacecraft to near light speed would be deadly and kill the craft inhabitants.
  • A spacecraft traveling at near light speed would become so massive that it would implode on itself creating a black hole.
  • Near light speed is not fast enough to practically travel from an inhabited star system to Earth.

Everything in theory but what actually prevents it biologically leaving point of origin to one's DNA shape formed into molecular content of cellular shape, function, results never duplicated per reproductive cycle present.

Everything changes form shaped here now. So anything is limited to how everything is universally positioned balancing equally proportioned from contracting results(eroding) and expanding details decomposing being everything happening now and no other time possible.

Matter is aleady dedicated to perpetual balancing universe in plain sight life adapts to never being the same individual total sum again. Equally created equally occupying the moment with separate results to each reproduction ever added inception to extinction by tthe currnt numbers living.

Quantum molecular migration between inorganic results eroding, ancestral results decomposing in a single atmosphere isolated from the rest of the universe working same way, different outcomes because of separate situations same as all lifetimes in this atmosphere do.

Common since is the core of common sense.

It's silly to assume visitation is impractical. First, all they would need to obviate that is access to one dimension more than we have. I'm sure you're aware that the fourth dimension is at a right angle that we cannot see - just as the third dimension is at a right angle which two dimensional creatures cannot see, and the second dimension is at a right angle that one dimensional creatures cannot see.

Ya see?

Then there's the assumption that aliens "travel" here at all. They could be inside the earth - which would make us the aliens.

Also, the first thing new presidents ask isn't about aliens. It's how to avoid the Kennedy Solution. Image

Do you believe they are extraterrestrial? My issue with that is it would take the energy of a star to travel to the closest solar system. Technology would be far more advanced to our own. Not sure an alien species would have an interest in human events, likely wouldn't spend those resources and remain hidden. Only occasionally kidnapping hillbillies and dissecting our cows.

Time traveling humans make a bit more sense. Could also be divine. Some stuff in the Bible seems to describe ufos.

I'm not sure neo. I think we try to make sense of it- and think in earthly terms. They are traveling another way.
I do think we are of an interest to them... we are the prison planet... a bunch of big dummies... about to exterminate  ourselves. Like a bad bunch of babies that have to be watched.
yes i know about the bible.

Every right angle has two other angles involed within itself, then there are the adjoining angles along with. every right angle has a left, front, rear, top. bottom counterpart.

It can be only horitonal/2 dimensional. vertical/3 dimensional, combined with everything else adjacent/4 dimenional.

Back ro 4 dimensional concepts, gaseous, liquid, mineral combined becomes 4 dimensional results. then apply how it creates inorganic and ancestral results becomes 8 hemisphere to 4 dimensionality.

Silly to imagine all things combined have to be separate time intervals governed by som outside intellectual entity beyond perpetual motions creates static charges that discharge in specific timing to do functions separately so each result can navigate individually here.
