Being VP would probably kill DeSantis's political career.  Right now, he can run for Senate or POTUS.  Biden is the only VP I can remember who ever ran and won the Presidency.   Trump would never agree to be VP - I think he'd rather go bankrupt and rebuild all over again than do that.
 

Nixon was Eisenhower's VP,  OleBush was Reagan's VP.  Your memory seems to be defective.
There will never be a DeSantis Trump ticket, Neither of them has an ego that would stand being second fiddle.

She cannot be elected to any office in Hawaii.
Where could she run from?

She won't be the candidate of either party for pres or VP.
She should become a columnist or write books. She is dead meat politically.

She doesn't have to be holding an office in Hawaii or anywhere to be a Presidential candidate's running mate you idiot. 

​​​​Hell, the team doesn't even need to carry the State of Hawaii to win the contest... in fact Hawaii is rather insignificant in the grand scheme of things in a Presidential election.

I forgot about Bush Sr.  While not unintelligent, he was a far second to Regan in terms of effectiveness.  He also had a bad habit of lying to his constituents.

While I hated Obama, Biden is a 3rd rate clown compared to him.  If I was a Walmart manager and Joe Biden was a Greeter - I'm pretty sure I'd have to fire him within 6 months - and that would be after verbal and written warnings.

I totally forgot about Nixon being Eisenhower's VP.   That's pretty much ancient history, though.

Trump and DeSantis basically have the same voting block, or at least there would be a lot of overlap.  My guess is that DeSantis would tag a Female to run along side him.

Trump would be smart to tag a great turn-around CEO. He would be smart to consider Mary Barra, but he won't.  She pissed him off.  Phebe Novakovic would be an even better choice.  If you want to drain the swamp, the right way, Phebe can actually get it done.
