This has been an issue for decades. Doctors have always been complaining about this. Nothing new.

Insurance industry. Their money, Their rules. That simple. He who writes the check makes the rules. Don't like it, pay for it yourself.

Yep. Exactly. If the government  paid for healthcare, then they would make the rules also. Not the doctors. Medicare tells doctors what to do also. Same with Medicaid. 

stop the pill pushing doctors. people dying from taking pills. some people are taking over 5 proscription pills, and felling honorable. many die from side effects of combining different chemicals. i keep hearing of people throwing their pills and supplements into the garbage can and start drinking lots of fresh water. within a month, no feet pain, leg, stomach, headaches, hand or chest problems. yes. toilets use water to flush the crap down the drain. and so should you urinate all the crap out of your bodies. throw pills and doctors into the garbage cans. flush your body with lots of pure water.

Medicare has never gotten in the way of any health care that I need. In fact it's the best coverage ever and affordable.

Medicare tells your doctors what to do. No different than the private sector. Well done in picking and choosing your poison, hypocrite boy.

That's not the point of his OP. His OP is about how doctors are quitting because the HMOs are making the calls. Medicare does the same thing, and he praises it. Hypocrisy.

Taxes ought to be simple to  enforce also! IRS tax schedules are anything but simple.  When the government gets involved, simplicity goes out the window.

I saw this this morning. Our healthcare system prided by so many as the best in the world really isn't.

We went to urgent care last weekend. The doctor seemed so depressed and stressed.

Even more important, fewer qualified people are applying to medical school. Those who could be candidates and want to work in the medical industry are opting to become RN's or PA's. They  just don't want the liability and responsibility that goes along with being a doctor.

I can't blame them.  It really is not worth it. Its all about assembly line practice and coding.
