That's fine.. as long as you also remember to also teach that Democrats and Republicans flipped ideologies during the Jim Crow Era.

It is true that in school, we heard a lot of talk about "Americanism" and the superior American consumer economy.
I had to take geometry I and II (which I have used only for purchasing rugs and floor tiles), but somehow they did not teach how to balance a checkbook. Not even in the accounting class (which was only an elective).
No one explained how the NYSE or ASE stock markets worked, but of course, when I was in HS, to trade on Wall Street always involved paying commissions for every trade. The major stock market results were listed weekly in the Kansas City Star.
But no one knew much about this. My father was an auditor for Cook Paint and Varnish Co, which made paint and sold it in a chain of stores. The CEO of the company, Mr Cook didn't know much about the stock market, either. My father liked to tell of when Mr Cook read an article about his company and compared it to Sherwin Williams (called Sherman Williams by everyone). Cook asked my father how the KC Star knew so much about his company, and wondered who was spying on his company. My father told him that the figures were in the Annual Report. Cook asked how they could have gotten a copy of this, and my father told him that the company was listed on the ASE and all anyone had to do to gt a copy of the Annual Report was ask for it, and the company had to send it on demand. Mr Cook said, "Then Sherman Williams can get a copy of our Annual Report? My father said, yes of course that was the law for all companies on the Stock exchanges.
So Cook asked for a copy of annual reports of all the listed paint companies. He didn't know anything about Wall Street, it seems.

The Jim Crow era lasted several generations. Why are you being so cagey about the timeline?
Can you give us an idea when the Democrats said **** labor - we're with wall street, now - and the Republicans said **** the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, we're with labor?

As there is NO ARGUMENT that the dems were the Labor party under FDR, the question becomes when the Republican switched. I have axed him in what decade the Republicans became the Labor party. I am standing by, breathing normally. DEFINITELY not holding my breath for a cogent response.

If they withheld their votes, it might be they felt it did not go far enough. They aren't sellouts like AOC and company - they don't just lick McCarthy's taint the way AOC nuzzled that mess between the sea hag's legs.
