I used to love Disney as a kid. Now I avoid seeing their productions at all costsSkans » 26 Mar 2023, 4:05 pm » wrote: ↑ Disney Executives seem hell-bent on killing their cash cow. Bob Iger says "Damn the Shareholders. Damn the Children. And, double-damn their **** parents".
DIS is trading at a paltry $94. This is Lower than what it traded at at the worst of Covid during the shut-downs. You have to go back to 2014, nearly 10 years ago, to see this stock price.
Bob Iger just announced some new Disney attractions:
- It's A Gay World
- Stock-Crash Mountain
- Tranny Bear Jamboree
- A-Cups (For Pedophiles only)
- Dick-And-Balls Splash Park
- Cunny-Cave Play House
- Gender Confusion Fun-Fusion
Agreed.... It's just a completely unrecognizable entity compared to what I remember as a kid...SJConspirator » 26 Mar 2023, 11:37 pm » wrote: ↑ I used to love Disney as a kid. Now I avoid seeing their productions at all costs

I recall our whole family gathered in front of the TV to watch the Wonderful World of Disney in the late 60s - early 70's... I think it used to air on Sunday nights, and we all looked forward to it... Seeing it in color was a really big deal, after only having Black & White TV with the tin foil on the Rabbit Ears antenna.. ..
It really was wholesome family entertainment.. We loved the iconic Characters, Cartoons, TV series, Movies and Soundtracks that gave us so many memorable songs .... This was their formula for success for decades.. I doubt Walt would have seen any wisdom in attaching the Disney Brand, or injecting themselves into outside controversial political & social issues...

Called by their "Dead Names" ?..... What the **** is a dead name?
I watched that and I wondered about that too... wtf is a dead name.. I try to keep up with the woke crap but that's impossible.. maybe it means using the 'wrong' pronouns after kids have been brainwashed into identifying as a different gender... I'm so glad I went to school back in the days when teachers were still normal, now it's just plain scary..Kobia2 » 27 Mar 2023, 2:11 am » wrote: ↑ Called by their "Dead Names" ?..... More & more I understand why a brother of mine and so many other parents choose to Homeschool their kids...

I just learned this the other day. A dead name is the name you're born with, the one on your birth certificateKobia2 » 27 Mar 2023, 2:11 am » wrote: ↑ Called by their "Dead Names" ?..... What the **** is a dead name?

Disney begins laying off 7,000 employees, CEO Bob Iger announcesXavier_Onassis » 27 Mar 2023, 12:15 pm » wrote: ↑ Disney's Pixar division has made some of the greatest animated films ever. Zootopia, a Walt Disney in house production, was also great. Disney is making money, but its dividends are rather paltry, and so the stock at $94 is still seen as expensive to investors. I don't see Disney going out of business.
It is absurd to claim that Trump has anything whatever to do with Disney's business success.POM » 27 Mar 2023, 12:19 pm » wrote: ↑ Disney begins laying off 7,000 employees, CEO Bob Iger announces

As President, Trump was a national clown show, but he was not serious competition for Disney
Layoffs generally turns out to be fewer than announced, and execs announce them because they tend to boost stock prices.
