Why are they killing their own prosperity?  Why ruin your brand just to cater to a few freaks? I'll tell you why.

Money is no object.  The heads of these industries have grown so wealthy that money is actually a burden to them.  They seek to shed money, not accumulate more.

If they shed money in strategic ways, it still furthers their cause.  For example, monopolies want to crush the competition.  Who is the competition?  Small business.

Those who start small businesses, statistically, are healthy white males from upper middle class families.  How can we destroy them early?

By twisting the culture into absolute madness.  Destroying the nuclear family by warping the minds of the youth destroys the competition before it even starts.

SO is it worth a few $billion to hobble the competition with mental illness at a young age?  Of course it is

Money and profits are always an object when it comes to publicly traded companies.  Otherwise, they will be targets for hostile takeovers.  Look at the activist investors and then determine how much power they have within Disney.  That's where I'd start.  My guess is there are some real hard-core leftists who have gained power in that company and that's where the problems are stemming from.

Yes, real losses.  Real losses Trump suffered from bad timing on some real estate investments.  Of course he carried those losses forward for use in the future.  If you were to ask Trump which he take if he could go back in time with today's knowledge and do it over again:

• No losses but rather 20% profits on investments in those years he suffered real losses, or
• Real losses for several years so that he can offset potential gains in future years,

That is different from the Trump scenario above.  I do think in some situations people with more money than they could ever spend will engage in destructive acts through which they might lose some value or money. But, I also think they are taking a big risk by doing this, because if they are on the board of directors, they are acting in disregard of their investors. They could be prosecuted and/or sued. 
 

I predict that Starbucks will begin saying the creature in their logo was born a man, and transitioned to mermaid.

They will make a big deal about it, with a new ad campaign.

They will lose $billions in revenue as people go elsewhere. And they won’t care at all.

It is a compound problem. People in general now openly talk about what offends them expecting the world around them to adapt to their weaknesses. Being offended is a sign of weakness after all.

Now that we can all openly be weak together, fragile in a specific way per individual, anyone crying about something is important. Couple that with leftists and "yes men", you breed a toxic corporate stew. The strong people are now kooks and when they dismiss this progressive idiocy, they are deemed irrelevant by the corporate bubble people. Spineless people go along to get along, sycophants actively go against nature and suck activist Kool Aid, stupid people don't care and seek immediate gratification, etc.

The tidal wave to a "better society" is underway. They know they have to outlast us. We will age out. Stupid people are being groomed every day as replacements.

People go for money, power, and status.  Many people with money go for power and status.

I think a lot of it has to do with Corporations thinking they are getting ahead of a curve .....that acrually doesn't really exist by hiring woke marketing firms and consultants that also have no clue that they are unpopular to most of society .......but are promoting this because they think they are trendy and every one is on board .....
