Wins for liberals? How is not enforcing the law a win? Chicago just elected another mayor who is a carbon copy of the last idiot. How is letting crime go rampant a win? And as far as manipulating politics through state supreme courts how is that a win? Idiot.

The court cannot rule on something that has not been brought before it in an appeal.  Besides, the US Supreme Court has ruled that drawing congressional district lines to benefit a particular political party is not necessarily unconstitutional.

Democrats in Wisconsin can file a court case.  It goes up the line to the new State Supreme Court... and THEY get to decide if THEIR state's redistricting plan violates THEIR state's constitution.  SCOTUS has **** all to say about it.

Keep telling yourself that, *******.  A state constitution cannot contradict the US Constitution.  Ever hear of the supremacy clause.  Besides, the districts also impact the US Congress...making it an issue that can go before SCOTUS.

Nope...the only people who whine about gerrymandering are the people not drawing the lines.  And it's possible to "beat" gerrymandering.  For decades, Texas was controlled by demoncraps with an iron grip.  Over time, they did what they usually do and **** up.  People began voting for more conservative people and now Texas is a solid red state.

And in the case of Wisconsin, the democrats can now bring a case to the state supreme court and know their odds of a favorable ruling are better.

State Supreme courts can and have tossed out redistricting plans in the past.  They will undoubtedly do so in the future.  Methinks Wisconsin may be next..

The maps have already been to the State Supreme Court.  It will take a new case...and this is very important...based on a new reason to challenge the maps.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/re ... wisconsin/

On March 3, the Wisconsin Supreme Court chose a map drawn by Democratic Gov. Tony Evers as the Badger State’s new congressional plan, spurning a map drawn by Republicans in the legislature. Justice Brian Hagedorn sided with the court’s three liberal justices in the 4-3 ruling.

The new map, however, still favors Republicans, a consequence of the court’s earlier ruling that it would not consider partisanship when choosing the map and would instead try to make as few changes as possible. The new map has six Republican-leaning seats and only two Democratic-leaning seats, along with an efficiency gap of R+27. However, the new map does make the light-red 1st District significantly more competitive than the Republican plan would have — a partisan lean of R+6 instead of R+14.

Wisconsin redistricting fell to the state Supreme Court after Evers vetoed the Republican-drawn map in November. GOP members of Congress appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the map, but on March 23, the Supreme Court denied their request, clearing the way for the map to be used in the 2022 midterms.
