Your premise is that the US should give equal treatment to both sides. This is a bogus premise. The people of the US have reason to sympathize more with Israel and Ukraine than with Russia and Hamas.

Israel bombing Lebanon is not legal, and neither is Hamas sending rockets against Israel.

It is beneficial to the US that Hamas does not gain more power than it has.
Both US political parties need votes, and to many Jews (who outnumber Arabs in the US) Israel is a one-issue deal.

It is also much more preferable to the US hat Ukraine is free, independent and allied with the EU.
Ukraine will need to end corruption and to be more democratic to gain membership in the EU.

The major influence of this is that the US has a bias towards Israel. Israel is not a poor country, but it is always a major recipient of aid from the US. If not for Israel, the US would not be sending billions of dollars to Egypt, to bribe the corrupt government (every Egyptian government is hideously corrupt) to refrain from messing with Israel.

Israel has traditionally been coddled by both political parties. Netanyahu seems to be trying very hard to destroy that tradition.
The biggest suckers of Israel are the members of the "Christian Right", who think that by supporting the Israeli right of Netanyahu, they are bringing about the Apocalypse and the Second Coming.
Nowhere in the Bible does Jesus say that the Temple must be destroyed. And of course, when Jesus was alive there was Herod's Temple, aka the Second Temple. Also all the Jews must relocate to Israel.
The Christian Right preachers mostly agree that Jews who refuse to accept Jesus as the Messiah and the Holy Trinity will all go straight to Hell. I am sure Netanyahu, who understands them well, chuckles when he thinks about what willing and silly saps they all are to believe the Book of Revelation.
