Putting in berries this spring.

Strawberry Patch is in.  Up next gooseberries...the bare root raspberries are on the way, the blue berry patch is cleared and I'm taking a chain saw this weekend to where the elderberry patch is going.  My son wants me to add grapes because he wants to start making wine but it might not be this year.

Thinking about turning the dog kennels into a big chicken coop too.....for eggs and fertilizer....so much to do and so little time

Don't be afraid to get a couple of bee hives going!! Pollinators will DOUBLE or TRIPLE your berry production. And you need 2. WAY to many reasons to get into here, but 2 is where you start. A couple of hours a month with 2 hives is all the time you need to properly care for them.

I have heard that grape vines take several seasons to mature enough to be suitable for producing wine from the fruit.

Scuppernongs, muscadines, figs, and plums make fine homemade wines as well, depending on your region. I had a friend growing up whose Dad made muscadine wine every year, and it was delicious.

It would surprise you how NOT aggressive honeybees are. I rarely get stung and when I do, it's usually when I catch a bee between my finger and the frames. Other than that, my hives could pretty much be inspected without a veil or anything else, but since they love the CO2 exhaled breath, a veil is pretty much needed.

  • fight
  • **** up everything
  • eat everything and boat-loads of grain
  • get eaten by anything with 4 legs or 2 wings.
Have fun.

Funny how you ALWAYS leave out the part where you MUST BE LICENSED to grow it, huh, ARSEHOLE???
Consumer Personal Cultivation.
All consumer personal cultivation must take place at a private residence.
Up to two (2) consumers, who both hold valid consumer personal cultivation
identification cards, may grow marijuana at the same private residence

Cool man. Good luck with that. Sounds kind of fun.

I am building an 8-bit computer. I hope to have it done by the end of summer. I almost have the ALU complete.

I made almost $15,000.00 selling the over run from my back yard last year.

Gardening of any sort seems to be more productive than posting in this forum, for sure.
Unfortunately, in the 1920's, someone bought the area where my house is and stripped off and sold the topsoil, which was Evergladed swamp muck. So below 2 inches, all there is is sugar sand.

I am considering framed beds, but I don't have much space.

The Feds don't allow you to grow any weed for personal use... and the States that do typically only allow around 4-6 mature plants at any one time for personal consumption. There are a few States that allow more if you are a licensed caregiver growing them for patient use.

Weed is still illegal on the Federal level, regardless.

Tell some more lies you hack.
