Don't be afraid to get a couple of bee hives going!! Pollinators will DOUBLE or TRIPLE your berry production. And you need 2. WAY to many reasons to get into here, but 2 is where you start. A couple of hours a month with 2 hives is all the time you need to properly care for them.nefarious101 » 14 Apr 2023, 7:15 am » wrote: ↑ Putting in berries this spring.
Strawberry Patch is in. Up next gooseberries...the bare root raspberries are on the way, the blue berry patch is cleared and I'm taking a chain saw this weekend to where the elderberry patch is going. My son wants me to add grapes because he wants to start making wine but it might not be this year.
Thinking about turning the dog kennels into a big chicken coop too.....for eggs and fertilizer....so much to do and so little time
I have heard that grape vines take several seasons to mature enough to be suitable for producing wine from the fruit.nefarious101 » 14 Apr 2023, 7:15 am » wrote: ↑ Putting in berries this spring.

It would surprise you how NOT aggressive honeybees are. I rarely get stung and when I do, it's usually when I catch a bee between my finger and the frames. Other than that, my hives could pretty much be inspected without a veil or anything else, but since they love the CO2 exhaled breath, a veil is pretty much needed.nefarious101 » 14 Apr 2023, 9:15 am » wrote: ↑ I put in some bee and parasite wasp favorites....doing some container planting to for the first time. Democrats - a slave to their drugs. And, they seek to make others a slave to their drugs. One more reason why I hate Democrats.

The Feds don't allow you to grow any weed for personal use... and the States that do typically only allow around 4-6 mature plants at any one time for personal consumption. There are a few States that allow more if you are a licensed caregiver growing them for patient use.
