It is pretty clear that the Earth cannot support huge surges in population.
There is enough food to feed everyone at present, but this does not happen because there is no plan for equitable distribution.

Then, people will starve and die.  Natural population control.  Why do we need government intervening in this?  The only reason a government would want to intervene in this is to pick and choose who the elites want to live or die.
