The Republicans have done a really good job in West Virginia.  They are dead last in almost all rankings:

#50 in life expectancy.  They have a lower life expectancy than Bangladesh.

As of 2019, the most recent available year of state-level data, life expectancy at birth in West Virginia is 74.8 years, the lowest among states and well below the comparable national average of 79.2 years.
