Woodson is wise beyond his years...I've seen him speak on many occasions...always insightful...and he's spot on about the spirituality and morality part as that's what holds a society together...not the whitey is to blame mentality...

I grew up in the deep south in the 70's and 80's and for the most part, black folks and white folks respected each other and got along just fine.
Of course there were the racist assholes around as well, but they were no where near the majority. Not even close really.

'Exaggerated' is understatement. There are liberal arts professors who are teaching that even math is racist. They have been published in academic journals. That means that other professors agree because these studies are peer reviewed. It would be comical if it wasn't so embarrassing.

It is not as though there existed an official Black Conservative Club to which all Black Conservatives belong.
I agree that reparations would not end racism, and nothing likely to get though Congress would do much to alleviate poverty. But what he seems to be advocating is a return to Jim Crow segregation, because things were so much better then.
In the period he describes, he was a member of a minority living in cities. Th vast majority of Black people in the 1930's and 1940's lived in the backward, rural South, where any infraction of the Jim Crow laws could result in a beating or a lynching or a sentence to work on a chain gang.

I grew up in the South. San Antonio Texas, and went to Robert E. Lee H.S. We wore the grey Rebel caps, and a gang of us would go around and beat up Yankees and Pencil-Necked Geeks(liberals). The gang would have hung ***, but there weren't any around to hang. I didn't join the gang, and remained neutral as I could not go along with mindless violence.
