Almost everyone working in healthcare agrees with the OP. Only management disagrees because they are paid to do so and get a cut of the take.

The Dem Party can have Canadian H/C.
Here is how.
The Democrat Insurance Company.
For Dems only.  (no others need apply).
Paid for by Dems only. (no tax money involved....none).
Dem pop.  = 165 million.....all covered.....with their own money.
Dem socialism must be paid by the Dem Dollar.

They wouldn't let me even sleep!  The nurses- women and men .. came into my room because  i was the only one who had the heat turned up!

Government deciding what is covered and what is not.
Doubling taxes.
Increased waste.

Why is it that every liberal "paradise" like California, New York, Massachusetts and Washington State that all promise Universal Care, abandon the project as soon as they see the price tag?   Well, all except for Vermont that actually did it... for 3 years before abandoning it because they couldn't pay for it. 

New York said their plan would have decreased costs by 3%.   Great news!   Problem?   They had to increase state income taxes by 150%.
