In a month- I'll take a pic of my lawn- you all will just DIE!    we have competitions on who can grow the tallest weed.

I am growing an oak tree. It was 6 inches tall last year when I transplanted it to my front yard.
I expect great things this year. It has spring buds so it survived the winter.
In a few years it will be taller than any weed.

I'm in this for the long game, baby.

I have  them a dropping a baby every year!
I now have so many- so HUGE- !!!
They are 80 feet high!!!! and I have an old garage... with a metal roof... and i woke up... Bullets were sounding off... NO -it was the acorns coming down!!!!
I seriously wont go out there with out a hard hat!
gawd save the squirrels! Gots lots of meats in the back yard. LOL which we wont shoot by the way.

In maine? You could never keep up? might as well eat the dandelions and save on lettuce

someone you pissed off before. A neighbor that doesn't like anyone else improving things more than they have. So many reasons to justify only one shows the person did it as wrong behavior.

That is what is wrong demanding human rights to pretend nobody knows how evolving happens naturally.

Oh, good hard rain will pack down what is soft and mushy and kind of fill in the ruts. Looks worse now than it really turns out then. Oh, just got an idea, if it hasn't rained in a while, get a lawn roller before the seed germinates and pack it down a bit to shrink the ruts from the loose soil.

won't hurt my feelings a bit you ignore this either. I am apathetic to the whole event. If wishing helped I wish it didn't happen.

I've been chasing a gopher family for the past 3 weeks tearing up my lawn!  I've tried Castor Oil, poison peanuts, grub killer and Gopher gas.  If these little critters were human, they'd be lawyered up by now suing me for brain tumors, heart disease, liver failure, pancreatic cancer and mesolthilioma (sp?) by now.

Go investigate home shielders inc. It is a Canadian company. It seems to be working for my couple of acres. harbor Freight sells something similar but they tend to leak within 6 months and stop working.

I think they may just  go away?  Do you think? We have moles!!!!!- mice -eventually they go away? They may run in cycles? i dont care about moles and such-  Are you upset over your lawn?
See here- we don't care in Maine? Our lawns are never our own? We don't care about weeds- rodents- because we can never stop them... i live in the wild.. a person adapts!

Well, I like to have a nice, lush green lawn. One without mounded trails running all through it.  I live in the wild too, but I like my groomed areas around my house.  It's my own private paradise, and these tiny beasts need to die.

I am surrounded by oak and hickory. My dogs keep the squirrels out much of the time.
They love the little rat bastards. Squirrels aren't too fond of the dogs though.
Must be the nearly instantaneous death thing.

I know. It was growing near a flowerbed. I transplanted it in my front yard where there used to be a 90 foot oak.
It was really a triple trunk and getting kinda scary. So I downed it a long time ago.

In 60 years things will be back to normal.

I can't stand rodents.  I dated a woman once who bought a house not knowing that it was infested with rats and mice. I set traps for her, put out poison and, after pulling hundreds of dead rodents out of her attic, finally got rid of them....except the ones who were nesting between the walls. So, we had to rip out drywall to get the rest of the nests out.  They stink and their mouse-piss stinks too.  Then, they die and if you don't get the dead ones out immediately, the flies get to them and fill them full of maggots. When the maggots matured the house looked like the house from Amityville Horror - freaking flies swarming everywhere.  I felt so bad for her.

I was traumatized  with ticks... we lived on long island.. and we had two Irish setters... ticks luv hair like that- and wet surroundings.. the damn things were crawling up the woodwork! Yours sounds much more gross!

wanted a different kind of oak tree instead of a scruffy pin oak.
