Wow. I don't care for AOC, but I would like to give credit where credit is due. Well done, AOC and Gaetz. Unlikely pair, since they are polar opposites. They are creating a bill that will prevent congressional members from trading stocks. This will deter the inside trading that our scumbag congress has been doing for decades. The goal is to try and restore public trust. As anyone knows, congressional members usually start as thousandairs, and then leave as multimillionaires. Being a politician is good business.

Now, we all know this won't pass. Why would congress give themselves a pay cut? However, it will be interesting to see who votes for it and who votes against it?
An eclectic group of lawmakers, including progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and far-right Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), proposed a bill Tuesday to effectively prevent members of Congress from actively trading stocks—the latest push to stop congressional stock trading, though previous efforts have faced opposition from both parties.

It doesn't stand a chance. Like I said, it will give the public a lot of transparency of where members are on this issue.

It absolutely won't pass. I have mixed feeling about the idea. If you don't ban spouses and children, you just leave a gaping hole from people to abuse. But also banning spouses and children shouldn't pass constitutional muster. Someone should not lose the ability to own stocks and bonds just because their spouse or parent gets elected to an office.

Only reasons AOC is signed on:

1. She desperately needs a make over as a "rebel". Shes not, shes an estab POS.

2. It will NEVER pass. And she knows it. So she isnt ruffling any feathers.

Gaetz will never get in AOC's panties.

I think that all Congressmen, Judges and high level people in the executive branch should be forced to put their investments into a blind trust.

Hope, faith, charity are the only physical blind trusts in real time. All intellectual truths are man made speculations every generation adds more guesstimations to confuse life is more than it ever was evolving forward now teaching great great grandchildren to obey reality regardless they become 1 of 16 great great grandparents or not.

Look at your behavior with that blind trust context never lies speculating time isn't stationary. Religion and sciences and economics all agree relative time is linear. actual time at adapting to the moment isn't linear, it is each reproduction's self contained to their own skin fertilized cell to decomposed corpse..

A corrupted rational mind always assumes any other person of character thinks as they do, and they do ignore the universal constant now is eternity.

are you aware: congress saves 100% of their declared incomes. lives off their expense accounts. become filth rich from insider trading. /// congress must be required to post, each week, all of their expenses on the internet. and did you know, people who want something from congress pay the restaurant bills. but the congress picks up the receipt and puts the cost on its expense account. oh those sneaky bastards.

Whom are you responding too. anyway even if it wasn't me, I am aware what congress does, any why they do it the way they always have in the last 180 years.

You want to save humanity until extinction at the cost of this species eliminating itself inside out to make sure it arrives keeping humanity something to die for, as living here one of a kind is eternal hell now.

don't you just love the long term effects denying now is eternity has done within your own ancestry? No desire to change your mind.
