I have been trying to find what the latest numbers are regarding their losses. The most recent that I could find was back in April at a 4-billion-dollar loss. I would like to know where it is now.
So would everybody. The truth is, there is no way of knowing this right now and here's why. InBev is pulling out all the stops to push their beer out to the retailers. We've all seen this stuff sitting around in grocery store isles, etc. But, where is it going?
Just yesterday, I saw the Bud-light van dropping off more Bud Light to Winn-Dixie, when it already had the stuff stacked up in the isles - again, where is it going? What king of shenanigans is InBev playing to hide the true fall-out from this? I am sure they would like this loss to be some kind of one-quarter write-down, and then make it look like its sales numbers miraculously bounced back. So, it will be at least a year to see what the true fall-out is.
Can the Boycott sustain a year? I do think that they have lost real numbers and customers here that InBev will not recover.
