Steven Spainhauer witnessed the victims massacred by a gunman in Texas over the weekend, and he disagreed with conservatives blaming "mental health" for the shooting.In an interview on Sunday, Spainhauer, a former police officer, said he went to the scene of the shooting at the outlet mall in Allen after getting a call from his son."I found seven people shot in front of the store," he said.Spainhauer recalled the horrific details of three victims, noting that one girl "had no face.""There was nothing else I could do," he lamented. Duh, mental illness was the motivation for these people mowing down other people they did not even know.
We do not deal with mental illness well in this country, and that, combined with way too many guns, is why we have these mass shootings.

Mental health is dealt with by the states. The feds might allocate money to the states to deal with it, but the states are what decides the actual treatment.

Mental illness is rampant in the country, sometime people don't even realize they are deficient in cognitive skillls......you're a good example.

As our country moves further left, heinous crime increases in proportion. The left has perpetuated it by a plethora of bad decisions.  If you can't understand that, look back decade to decade and note the sliding scale. ****.

The Democrat Party counts on mental illness.....it's part of the party platform.

Just look at Biden's Cabinet, it could be an inmate roster for an insane asylum.

The problem isn't mental health, or any model of firearm.

The problem is... the people themselves.

Within my own lifetime, I've seen Americans go from a people who wanted to live free and accept the responsibility for that decision, and understood there were consequences if you made poor decisions, to a bunch of whining sheep who want Daddy Government to take care of them and who refuse to lift so much as a finger for themselves.

The AR-15 isn't a new technology. It has existed since the 1950's. Semi-automatic, magazine-fed firearms have existed for over a century. There was a time when guns were accepted, everyday things; pretty much everybody had a small .32 or .38 they carried as habitually as people today carry smartphones. Kids were exposed to firearms and trained in their use from the time they could walk, and regularly took guns to school. Not for anything as benign as Show-N-Tell but because the kids would be using their gun to take small game for the family stewpot on their journey home after classes! And you NEVER had mass shootings or school shootings!

Sadly, the people now don't want to be free. They don't want to take responsibility for themselves. They want to be taken care of and protected so they can "feel safe". It's disgusting, and it's pathetic.
