Deezer is having another break down. Over a ....chat site.
By the second page it became exactly as I suspected it would: Off-topic negative crap.RedheadedStranger » 10 May 2023, 7:49 pm » wrote: ↑ It's a great thread.
Better than a locked thread left to die eh?

Not sure why you chose that course.

You apparently have nothing to add about enjoying being alive.
I sorta retired right before COVID and expected a life of leisure and fishing, and having a garden... and then everybody was at my house, and couldn't leave.DeezerShoove » 10 May 2023, 8:32 pm » wrote: ↑ By the second page it became exactly as I suspected it would: Off-topic negative crap.

I think the title is click bait in all of our threads.
You ever notice it's the same few people talking about their "pet topics"?
That's how they enjoy life. Ranting and changing nobody's mind.
I said a truism and got accused of having a breakdown. ?
So, I stand by what I said. We got a few great posts and went off the cliff shortly afterward.
I'm glad you cajoled me into unlocking it. If for no other reason than letting the "peeved" get in their licks.
See? I be happy. I almost made it a peanut gallery thread, too.
I'm too lazy and apathetic to do that sifting out the "I don't like you" posts.

My fav to catch is a chunk Crappie. Dam they taste good crispy fried.
LOL. Catfish are only good caught from a clean well-maintained stock pond.DeezerShoove » 10 May 2023, 9:06 pm » wrote: ↑ I hear that from other people a lot about bass.
I've never thought they were a bad fish taste-wise. To each his own.
Smelt are pretty good too for a poor man's feast.
Sucker and carp are greasy, stinky, terrible texture.
Catfish is the last choice before you eat your dead friend's leg.
You'll eat a crappie, but not a bass.Sumela » 10 May 2023, 8:58 pm » wrote: ↑ Shhheez, the **** that Ive lost kayak fishing. Im a clumsy ****.

My cousin in Minnesota spoke of Pike as the last fish you wanna catchDeezerShoove » 10 May 2023, 10:23 pm » wrote: ↑ Walleye is pretty good, I guess.
Some people rave about it a bit too much.
There's a second set of bones along the sides that has to be contended with. Pin bones.
I fillet them out, some guys don't. Small walleyes 15" aren't really an issue.
Like smelt bones so small you can just eat them. Bigger walleye have to get them out.
Everyone's different.
Northern Pike is a bony ****. Like eating a snake.
When you unhook them they can be nasty biters too. Lots of teeth.Sumela » 10 May 2023, 10:29 pm » wrote: ↑ My cousin in Minnesota spoke of Pike as the last fish you wanna catch
