In the first place how do you know the story wasn't covered by CNN?  It wouldn't be covered by MSNBC since MSNBC isn't a news network and, unlike Fox, doesn't pretend that it is. The larger question is whether this murder is even a national news story but rather a local Chicago and state story which it probably is and where it would have received full coverage. I doubt you brought it up here to impart its news value - it's merely political fodder for a Righty.

Couple of reasons. Hoodlums shooting a policeman of the same race doesn't have same impact as a white policeman choking a black shoplifter to death on a sidewalk, but the main magnet for the TV coverage, which then fed the print news coverage, was the stunningly graphic video.

Hard to understand what you don't know much about.

1. Biden is hemmed in by law but we'll see what happens. Too soon to tell.
2. Crime is down not up; bail and "defunding cops" (which hasn't happened) have nothing to do with Biden.
3. The market, not Biden, controls gas prices. Inflation is also out of Biden's hands.
4. The national debt is always a looming disaster; Democrats have always saved us from it, as they did with Trump,
    when they have authority to do so.
5. The Afghan withdrawal was a debacle, you're correct. It's over.
6. Biden is not demanding reparations.
7. Gun control is a disaster, you're right. We don't have any.
8. "School choice", so called, is a state and local issue.
