rich people need the immigrants for cheap labor
they are political footballs and convenient boogeymen when needed
if they really wanted to stop illegal immigration they would fine and or jail people that hire them
but they won’t do that, large corporations that need cheap labor are some of the politicians biggest donors
not to mention, they like it when we punch down on people that have no money and no power
keeps us from punching up at the people with all the money, and all the power

Looks like the immigrants benefit the democrats the most. If it were the other way around you could see the dems' border wall from space.
