1. Capitalists create value

Capitalist (n): kăp′ĭ-tl-ĭst

(Source: Me)

Someone who invests his or her own capital (land, money, tangible resources, intellectual property, or some combination of the above) into an asset with the primary goal of asset appreciation, positive cash flow, or both. The predominance of investing capital (rather than labor) is what separates capitalists from self-employed/micro-businesses/wagie slavies.

====================

When you ask someone who is in love with capitalism (typically a hard-core libertarian) what makes capitalism so great, they will give a canned response...one of these is that capitalists "innovate" and improve our lives. And by "innovating" they can "create value" so people can enjoy a higher standard of living.

Or freedumb. Freedumb seems to be the 2nd most frequented, canned response. If you ever dare imply any negativities regarding capitalism, you hate freedumb.

Freeeeeeeeedddddddduuuuuuuummmmmmbbbbbbbbb!!!1111

The problem is that this argument is ****.

The overwhelming majority of capitalists do not/did not CREATE value.

Capitalists deliver value, unlock value, employ market arbitrage, sell fraudulent products/services, or rent-seek, but they typically do not create value.

When I (or anyone with a reasonable level of intelligence) talk about "creating value," I am referring to inventing objects, frameworks, or techniques like irrigation, steelmaking, refrigerators, nails, cameras, transistors, steam engines, showers, vibrators for desperate women, or w/e.

With a small % of exceptions, inventors are NOT capitalists. They either do not have the prerequisites (no super rich family, no angel investors, no "lucky break") or the interest/time to focus on capital growth while still inventing. Creating something new and useful is the true source of value.

=========================

Starting a diner serving eggs, bacon, and pancakes from 6 AM - 2 PM Mon-Sun and having to constantly shuffle among new workers due to "high staff turnover" while complaining "Nobody wants to work" on some Facebook "business owner group" is not "creating value."

This diner is DELIVERING value to customers (likely on 3+ medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, and atherosclerosis). It created ZERO value.

The real "value" (eggs, bacon, and pancakes fried in disgusting, cheap, hydrogenated vegetable oils served in a non-residential establishment) was invented decades ago. You are merely renting a property and employing surly workers behind on their rent payments in the meantime.

=========================

Many of you unintelligent heathens will read this and get offended. The smart people will read this and laugh (because everything I said in this post is true, and they already figured this out eons ago).

So before you jump the shark, let me explain:

There's nothing wrong with delivering value, unlocking value, or whatever. There is nothing inherently wrong with making money.

Everybody, from the lowest Negro living in the war-torn Congo to wealthy Jooz in Switzerland (and especially the Jooz) wants 'MO MONEY!!!!!

(The tiny hatters LOVE 'MO MONEY!!!! They've been like that for over 2000 yrs...almost like it's embedded in their genes!)  Image

That's not the issue.

I am simply asking you to stop pretending that, in your desire to make money, you are some holy angel whose presence has bestowed upon humanity a sanctum of benefits, when in reality you are just another self-interested, enlightened midwit pursuing comfort.

Sorry folks, but starting a diner serving eggs, bacon, and pancakes from 6 AM - 2 PM Mon-Sun and having to constantly shuffle among new workers due to "high staff turnover" while complaining "Nobody wants to work" on some Facebook Boomer-dominated "business owner group" is not "creating value."

This diner is DELIVERING value to customers (probably on 3+ medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, and atherosclerosis). It created ZERO value.

The real "value" (eggs, bacon, and pancakes fried in disgusting, cheap, hydrogenated vegetable oils) was invented decades ago.

Oh, and by the way, there are at least 5 diners within every 20 sq miles across America where humans actually live. Same with pet grooming stores, grocers, cleaning businesses, auto body shops, whatever.

I am intrigued.  Please do tell of a better economic system.

Russia's and China's large domestic social net mixed with State Capitalism
seems to work well.  No country has been sanctioned like Russia over an
9 year period....and it only made the stronger.

You will not find countrywide homeless camps in Russia or China.
The West is littered with crime, desperation, and homelessness.

2. Making money = creating wealth

Since the Jewish funded Chicago School of Economics began peddling neoliberal economics back in the 70s, there has been a deliberate conflation of making money and creating wealth.

Classical economics (a subject upon which self-proclaimed "classical liberals" like YouTuber Tim Pool are - not surprisingly - sorely deficient) separated the two but this distinction was lost over time. It was only recently resurrected by heterodox schools of economics that most people have never heard of.

There is an interesting phenomenon I have pointed out several times: there are trillions of dollars sloshing about in the economy yet the average person has trouble accessing small loans (unless it's used to pay for a house or car since those can be easily repossessed and sold either at break-even or even slight profit factoring in debt repayments).

Underneath the glamorous layer of polish lies the "fake" (unproductive) economy of flipping (or raiding) assets a la Mitt Romeny (Bain), derivatives, bundling home mortgages and selling them to investment firms and hedge funds, selling insurance policies that provide little to no real value, "carbon credits," etc.

(You can add "cryptocurrency" to this list as well since even the dullest of libertarians have given up on pretending "cryptocurrency" is about an alternative to the USD/combatting the debasement of currency as opposed to a speculative asset class for the purposes of making money)

============================================================================

Banks, which are creators of credit, are interested in easy profits like selling/flipping commercial rental properties (which is going terribly for them as of right now).

Banks (today) don't really care about production anymore than "Insider Trading Queen" Nancy Pelosi or "Conman Extraordinaire" Donald Trump do.

(You can tell since neither of these two have done anything productive in their entire lives.)

============================================================================

It doesn't pay to sell real things, unless drugs/sex are involved. You can make much more money selling fake ****, pipe dreams to investors, insurance (which is mostly a scam, e.g. try making good on your long-term care insurance plan when the avg Boomer turns 85 and 50% of them need ***-wiping CNAs to help them get dressed in $10K/month nursing homes) etc. than an actual product.

Shuffling money around is what passes off as "creating wealth" today, whether it's "Lucky" Larry Silverstein taking out "terrorism insurance" on the twin towers shortly before 9/11 and collecting hundreds of millions of dollars or Citadel shorting Gamestop's stock for easy profits before some basement dwellers on r/WSB decided to play that same trick on Citadel. Or your local restaurant closing due to a mysterious fire shortly before the owner retires and "by the whims of fate" collects insurance reimbursements.

So what's the issue? I did say, after all, there's nothing wrong with making money in my previous post.

See, here's the thing: when your roads are full of potholes and cracks, when your soup kitchens and homeless shelters can't accommodate even a slight increase among the needy, and when mental + physical illness is at an all time high with decreasing life expectancy despite healthcare expenditures skyrocketing in the name of "quality care," research, $5M advertising campaigns for pills and drugs with terrible side effects, etc.

then maybe, just maybe, even the dimmest among you might make the connection that just because "people are making more money than ever before" (GDP growth) doesn't mean any actual wealth is being generated.

3. Gee-Dee-Pee

Is Japan a basket case due to a shrinking population + shrinking GDP?

Let's consider: the average Japanese person's standard of living has been stable for roughly 20 years while the average American's standard of living has collapsed since 2008.

I call this the "Higher GDP / Lower Quality of Life" Paradox. By pursuing higher GDP at this point, we are actually introducing a lower quality of life for the vast majority.

How is this possible?

1) Saturated labor markets

We do not have a shortage of low skill blue collar labor.

We do not have a shortage of high skill blue collar labor.

We do not have a shortage of low skill white collar labor.

We do not even have a shortage of high skill white collar labor - they are all grifting in Washington D.C., coming up with the next **** startup app/idea in Silicon Valley, pushing pills at the behest of Big Pharma, or concocting schemes to steal ignorant people's money via "financial engineering" on Wall Street.

Neoliberals love immigration since immigration boosts GDP (all other things equal). Immigration depresses wages due to labor market saturation. Higher GDP / lower standard of living.

2) Saturated business sectors

Let's say in a given city, $5M is spent on Mexican dining for a given year. Just because you add more Mexican restaurants doesn't mean people are going to buy more tacos and fajitas. That $5M representing aggregate demand just gets distributed among a greater number of sellers (restaurants). People are not magically going to empty their wallets on Mexican dining just because more restaurants pop up.

(Apply this same motif to other saturated sectors and you see the true magnitude of this problem)

What about the unsaturated sectors? These have room for new players...but the vast majority of people are not capable of understanding...much less working with technologies e.g. robotics/automation, artificial brain implants, humanoid assistants, self-driving vehicles, whatever.

The average person pushes papers, uses a 20th century machine, or writes emails/attends boring corporate meetings for a living.

3) Overpriced services

In Cuba, a dentist might charge $50 for a dental crown. In the United States, a dentist would charge $1000+.

The dentist in the US is not performing a service that is 20x more valuable. (If anything, the Cuban dentist is better trained)

The price point is simply different.

Spending more money on services (including and especially healthcare) does not mean you have a higher standard of living. It means you've been suckered into a system that acts like a parasite on actual wealth (money you've earned through a lifetime of production/labor).

This reminds me of retarded Boomers who jump with joy at the fact their "housing equity" is going up...not realizing the higher property taxes they have to foot.

Additionally, if they want to "make good use" of that equity, they'd have to sell their house at some point and move to some **** place in the middle of nowhere (otherwise they'd just swap houses at roughly similar/proportional prices, since every other house is appreciating as well).

4) Frivolous/useless/harmful ****

Spending on **** increases GDP.

For instance, a "transgender operation" is easily tens of thousands of dollars. These transgender surgery hospitals are making a killing and they are creating GDP.

The Covid-19 vaccine also "created GDP" as millions of sheep rushed to get injected.

Throw in ESG investing, diversity hires/HR training, "wellness programs" based on pseudoscience, protein powders/shakes, questionable supplements, solar panels (assume unsubsidized), etc.

It doesn't mean your life gets better.

It means you (directly/indirectly) pay for useless, if not harmful, ****.

Coz GEEEEEEE DEEEEEEEE PEEEEEEEE

4. Underemployment

A common lament amongst "traditional conservatives" is that people, esp. young men, aren't working these days. These conservatives will blame a lack of carpentry classes in high school, too much soy in modern diets, welfare stamps, $1400 Covid-19 checks, video games, "a lack of fatherhood," or anything they personally despise in modern life to pin the blame on "people not working."

The problem is that this argument is retarded.

First, underemployment isn't even a problem. Anyone can get a job if they want. Hell, they can get 3 soul-sucking, time-wasting jobs if they want.

(Ask George Bush - "uniquely American!")

Second, the problem is these conservatives' astounding ignorance on anything related to basic economics. Or just the "job market" in general.
  • In most medium COL cities, "middle-class" generally implies 6 figures minimum. If you lived in Dallas or Raleigh, $120K minimum would put you in "middle class."
  • $70K is a poverty salary. Contrary to Fox News' propaganda, owning a refrigerator and TV doesn't mean you're not poor. $70K just means you're not sleeping in a 4x4 tent.
  • $250K (the equivalent of "6 figs" of 1995) is what you need to actually move up the ladder and retire before you get heart bypass surgery or get put on 3 meds by a Pig Pharma, "licensed" pill pusher (your doctor).
(Multiply those figures by 1.5 for New York or Silicon Valley, or 1.2 for LA/Seattle)

Now how many people are making $120K, let alone $250K, esp. when starting out? When you factor in high rent payments and rampant inflation, is it really a surprise people "aren't working?"

Whenever I bring up these facts, retarded conservatives will default to asinine counters like the following:

1. Retarded conservative: "Back in my day, houses were 900 sq ft. Of course when everyone wants to live in 2500 sqft McMansions today or luxury apartments downtown things get expensive"

Fact: First of all, a large % of people despise McMansions as well as luxury aptments. They just want a place to live without breaking the bank.

That's also not the problem of people who "refuse" to work. That's a problem caused by zoning regulations and hardly any home builders are building ~1200 starter homes anymore. These developers prefer 2000-3000 to maximize profits you ****, so no actual starters get built.

2. Retarded conservative: It's the Starbucks and iPhones!

Fact: lol

=================

Onto the second point, you would THINK people who claim they have a grasp of "basic economicKs" (and who frequently mock socialists/leftists for lacking such understanding) would acknowledge that, maybe, just maybe, when wages (adj for REAL INFLATIoN) haven't budged in 40+ years, that would indicate UNDERemployment isn't the problem. If anything, there are too many people in the workforce competing for scraps.

But irony reigns.

well at least your name fits.
when a diner provides a service, it frees up other people to pursue their lives; they don't have to work 12 hours a day to provide their own food.
How long would it take you to make a pencil and what would it cost?
You have no idea how many people "making pencils" employs and provides their livelihood.
if that midwit pursuing comfort didn't do so, maybe 10, 12, 100, or 2000 wouldn't be able to pursue their comfort.
Capitalism is a symbiotic relationship.  organisms(business or people) living off of each others being.
Is Capitalism perfect.  No, but it sure has beat everything else that has been instituted!

If anything, there are too many people in the workforce competing for scraps.

But irony reigns.
Since everyone is equally conceived, let there be an equal pay for every lifetime added.

economic system would work like this,

each child born gets a million dollar trust fund the parents cannot borrow from except to pay for child's medical expenses. Then as an adult at whatever age is set after graduating high school and can use the trust fund for their health, education, unemployment insurance if they ever get fired or laid off because their employer downsizes or self employment doesn't earn enough.

this will teach every great great grandchild to plan the future limited to eternally separated now.

Now the government will set up a 3% annual growth to that fund by a 1 cent sales tax on retail sales of finished products.

You economists know how that works in secret so let me explain it for those kept out of the loop.

divide 3% quarterly over a year. So every 3 months that million dollars gets .75% yield
Now that penny national sales tax earns a penny on every dollar used each transaction by everyone in this country constantly. So pick a dollar and it is used in 10 transactions a day times 200 million transactions a day divided by paying out each day a person was born every 3 months would receive .75% in their trust fund.

Evolving value directly proportionate to active population and all this centers on now being eternity not relative time logistics. this system would work regardless which nation uses it. Universal constant.

Now lets take care of other things with say a 3 cent national sales tax. so now up to 4% on the dollar paying the dollar per transaction while government spending pays out .75% to trust funds for great great grandchild when they grow up to become adults.

All this is in replacing the current taxation methods that destroy the economics globally in each country by design of those legislating morality, legality, situational ethics, psychological class warfare, dividing each generation gap against one another using hypothetical meaning of life evolving in plain sight.

My brain has calculated an eternal balancing means when ancestries are honest about their own time living in their respective sole positions adapting to the moment here.

Symbolism over substance is a means to make living easier than blind faith competition to fool each other out of their own time being a;live now.

Compromising isn't defeating real time or conquering space or visa versa. Living doesn't evolve beyond individually adapting to the moment here. No reality ever exceeded the people denying now is eternity.

Lets have an honest discussion, please, it is retarding each person's instincts to ignore why they exist in plain sight. It corrupts everyone about how the universally equally separates details never same total sum twice now.

I figured out so many ways to work realities within that universal constant. But ancestries have to change what they believe possible and add the one thing never was achievable.

To regain self control over the time they naturally have left being alive now. Equality evolving in plain sight over equity of character role playing cradle to grave economic system

That's right.  They do.  I agree with this.  Thinkers are valued over workers, simply because there are way more low-IQ workers than high-IQ thinkers.   Anyone can press a series of buttons, turn 3 screws in a particular order or carry a parts-bin from point a to point b.  Not everyone can convince Americans to buy an electric car they don't need.

====================

=========================

=========================
