Now you are starting to get it. The information on the phone concerns right now.. not 20 years ago. The present day info gets the top shelf treatment.

Occupy Wallstreet or any other protest didn't result in thousands of deaths. Which also started years long wars. 9/11 didn't just kill 3k Americans. It brought us into 20 yr long war that accounted for hundreds of thousands in the Middle East. No different as to why we still care about Pearl Harbor. It lead us in WWII. However, 9/11 doesn't seem to matter as much.

It matters just as much as Pearl Harbor in reality, because, like Pearl Harbor, the conditions that caused it no longer exist.
Does how much Americans CARE about it matter?  I cannot imagine why this is important. There is certainly nothing wrong with caring, or lamenting the loss of lives and money that they cost.

I agree, today, and even more tomorrow and the future are more important, because our actions can affect them. hey cannot affect the past.

As for conspiracy theories.. I do not buy into any of them no matter who puts them out there. It is not a matter of being a liberal or conservative. As for why you are met with resistance when you try to convince someone  that it was an inside job (conspiracy theory).. it all comes back to folks having deprioritized this story and not wanting to take the time and energy to take a deep dive.

So silly to think the govt folks who control billions of dollars and answer to/work with
huge corps and other countries would EVER cover any thing up.  Take a bribe and hide it.  Lie people into a war.
The very idea that anyone in WASH DC has ever covered any thing up or created an event as deflection of a truth
now thats just all silliness.  
     

I used to hang out with a guy that was a heavy duty historical re-enactment type. Civil War, revolutionary war, war of 1812. He and his cohort were always lamenting about how Americans no longer care about the civil war except for intellectual interest. They were expecting folks to get emotionally invested and hate one side or the other. Same concept applies... it is in the past and therefore less relevant to our present day pursuits.

I think the reasons are two fold. 

First, unless you lost someone on 9/11 or in the conflicts that followed, you aren't emotionally connected. Hell, even the attendance at the services of remembrance in NYC have declined.  I know several people who fought in the conflict/war, and they never mention 9/11 or their service unless specifically asked. For those directly impacted, it probably still is a recent event...for everyone else, it happened decades ago.

Second, most people think the ideas of our government being involved or hid evidence to protect a narrative are nothing more than conspiracy theories.  Zogby did a specific survey and only 41% think the US government knew, before 9/11, the attacks were planned and didn't act to stop it.  When asked if they concealed evidence, intentionally didn't investigate all leads or on any other way covered up...the majority said no.  When asked about the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7...which was shown collapsing repeatedly on television...the majority weren't even aware of the collapse and 14% of those that were aware it collapsed think the committee was right in not investigating it.  Lastly, when asked if another investigation is warranted or do they think 9/11 was thoroughly investigated, the majority think it was thoroughly investigated.

I have posted contradictions of the government's report about 9/11 before. Your response is always the same, this ^^^. You don't even make an effort to refute any of it. Just the same usually ****: the because you say so crap.

I never considered all the holes in the government's report about what happened for two reasons: 

1. It's the government. Lying is what they do. 
2. None of these contradictions have been resolved. 

I am beginning to come to a realization that there are no such things as conspiracy theories, there are only theories. Either true or false. Putting a adjective in front of 'theory' is designed to ostracize opposition. There is a small minority of people who seem to give a **** that it is plausible for the attack to be an inside job from our government. The theories hold. They have not been debunked. 

Society has been so brainwashed, that they genuinely believe calling people who investigate these attacks  'whacks' or 'nut cases' in itself, is enough to negate the information they present. I hate Americans.

I voted for brainwashed because that's the main cause but the other ones play a part too, not all americans are brainwashed, a lot of them know the official story doesn't make sense and the government is lying, as usual, but they have other more immediate problems to worry about and what should they do about it.. it's like the Kennedy assassination, you know they are lying and the deep state was behind it but you also know the truth will never come out and you can't do anything about it...
