This deal cutting and compromises is not how I like doing business.

Let say we take in around 4 Trillion/yr.
How much should we spend ?
It seems that the Dems want to spend 6-8 Trillion/yr......and raise the debt ceiling.
That ain't right. It is deeply wrong to spend money that you do not have.
Our children will financially suffer.
I am not down w/ that.

I SUGGEST you read our US Constitution and discover that a STATE can hold referendums IF their State Constitution permits it, BUT THERE ARE NO FEDERAL PROVISIONS FOR ONE!! Add to this, every state is GUARANTEED a Republican form of government within the States. And they can write into their Constitutions whatever they feel is right for their State. That DOES NOT mean "Democracy", but REPUBLICAN FORMS OF GOVERNMENT. The legislature determines if a referendum is in order or not.

Every state except Delaware requires voter approval of constitutional amendments. Aside from this limited form of referendum, Texas is one of eighteen states which do not permit any other form of initiative, referendum, or recall.

I agree. NO DEALS. Shut the F-ing government down. Furlough government employees NOW with no right to receive any back wages. And, don't re-start it until we have government FOR THE PEOPLE once again.

I DO NOT under any conditions feel that murdering babies WILLFULLY should be allowed, but that's MY viewpoint and one that is held by half the population. OTHERS feel there should be short time frames, and others longer all the way up to the moment of birth. But again, I don't get a VOTE other than to elect my Representative to take my voice AND vote to the Statehouse.
