Yes, the wrist thingy. I made the mistake of buying a Mossberg 500 Mariner .12 gauge with the pistol grip handle. Took it out with a friend and started with 3" high brass. That thing about tore my thumb off after the first 3-4 rounds. Bird's head stock is the only way to go with a short shotgun.

Wrong.
The original Derringer, which was made by John Derringer, was not a "cheapo" weapon. It was very well made for the times. Military officers used it for close up personal protection, and it was the first choice for thousands of civilians as a back-up weapon. They were made with the best materials. Walnut, silver inlaid, engraved, copper-nickel alloy hardware, typically .41 caliber percussion, but Booth used a .44.

My two Pythons are safe queens - I don't shoot 'em.  One was made in 1957 (1st year production, 1955) and the other in 1960.

For bowling pins, I now use my Tanfoglio 10mm.  Lower recoil than a 357 revolver and easier/faster to get the sights back on target, plus I've got 16 rounds before having to reload.  9mm just doesn't cut it for bowling pins.

The BFG 45/70 (yes that 45/70 govt.) is out of my price range.
 But the S&W 500 isn't. It is pricey at around $1,200.00 to $1,500.00 though.  I'm thinking real hard about getting one. But it won't be until around December.

You know, you can't buy that Tanfogilo Stock anymore.  The new Stock (Stock is the name of the gun) has the extended slide, is single action (not DA/SA like the one in the photo), and has a stupid "rail" on it.  The Original Stock is the closest thing I could find to the Bren Ten (D&D) - one of those will set you back close to $10K now.
