for decades increased usa national debt has created inflation. inflation increased the prices of homes. up goes the wealth of your parents (inflation provides cheaper money to pay off old mortgages, on lower priced homes.). and look what the children now have to pay for shelter. what a scam. parents lie, by not telling their children what they did to them. save the children. increase the national debt. pass the problem along. (next generation will pay over 2 million for a slum shelter)

I'd be willing to bet(if I were a betting type)that the greater majority would much rather have had a balanced budget....at least those working to attain wealth, not the investing types, but the working man.

Well, really, MOST couldn't tell you what the debt is and what's more could care less.

The citizens are NOT RESPONSIBLE for the national debt. They were not informed of  the costs of the Vietnam War, the Iraq Wars, or the Afghanistan Wars, they has no clue what fighter jets would cost, and most of them are now obsolete because drones are far cheaper that th cost of developing fighter jets or the cost of training pilots or paying benefits to the families of pilots killed in combat.

As everyone with a brain knows, the Federal Reserve is directed to maintain an inflation rate of 2^ annually to serve as a buffer so that violent surges in prices do not occur. If the Fed is successful in doing this, a dollar will decrease in value by half every 36 years.
