Here's how fascism takes hold in public schools.
1) They scare parents by lying to them, telling them schools are showing kids books that contain pornography, and are "indoctrinating" kids into Socialism, trying to turn kids gay (as if that were possible), etc.
2) They form so-called "parents rights" groups to rile parents up. (They try to make it look like a grass roots movement, but I've seen the actual job ads to recruit organizers.)
3) These messages are reinforced in the right-wing media, and, sadly, in churches, where ministers and priests believe the propaganda.
4) Parents don't do enough fact checking, because their trusted opinion leaders say it's this way. If parents already have fears or prejudices against minorities, LGBT, etc., it's easier to convince them.
5) Parents become convinced that the teachers, the teachers' union, and all public educators are "indoctrinating" their children.
6) Enraged, the parents show up at school board meetings and protests. They demand to see teacher lesson plans. They vilify teachers. They demand that books be banned
7) They convince their children to be snitches. Teachers face heavy consequences for teaching a "banned" book, not getting parents permission to show kids famous pieces of art, etc.
Teachers and other dedicated educators are forced out. Fascists replace them with their own, or replace public schools with charter schools.
9) Without knowing anything about Ann Frank or other authors who show the horrors of fascism, a generation grows up ready to embrace it.

when the real Conspiracy is actually being commited against the children by their woke teachers and educators....
