Parts of Miami are underwater whenever there is a king tide or a severe storm.
Is global climate change a reality? Yes,. it is.
Fools are still building all along the waterfronts here, and they can do this because they have insurance against storm damage.
The result is that insurance rates are so high that people are unable to make their insurance payments.
DeSantis has done NOTHING to lower flood and storm insurance. He prefers to do battle with Drag Queens.
Again, XO is a goddamn LIAR!!!

"Most flood insurance policies currently providing coverage in Florida are underwritten by the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The NFIP is managed by the Federal Insurance & Mitigation Administration which is a part of the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA). These policies may be issued directly by the NFIP (NFIP Direct) or by various property and casualty insurance companies through a NFIP program called “Write Your Own” (WYO). Through the WYO program, the insurance company issues and services the policy, however the NFIP is responsible for paying any claims arising from the policy."

Not a whole lot DeSantis can do about a federally administered program.

So dillweed, what's DeSantis supposed to do about it?? Tell the hurricanes and fires to go somewhere else?? Do you think that will work??

Funny how you want someone to "do something" but you NEVER have any REAL MESSAGE about what YOU WOULD DO to lower rates which is a place YOU should begin and TELL US Dr. PEDO!!!

XO is one ignorant, lying asshole!!!

FEMA Flood Insurance Rates

Here’s one thing that takes some of the stress out of buying FEMA flood insurance: even though practically every insurance company sells NFIP policies, the rates are set by FEMA with flood maps. So no matter the insurer you’re working with, you’ll get the same rate.

https://insurify.com/homeowners-insuran ... %20premium.

The **** runs when faced with his ignorance and proven wrong!!!

Well..
What had Newsom done?
Its painfully OBVIOUS that @Xavier_Onassis   has NO CLUE how Insurance works and WHY rates are set as they are, high or low.

Wonder if he understands that WHEN CLAIMS exceed the PREMIUMS COLLECTED that INSURANCE COMPANIES lose money and MUST raise rates to remain solvent so they can CONTINUE to insure losses that DO AND WILL happen in the State?? Otherwise, they do like they are doing in California where the State controls the rates, and simply REFUSE TO DO BUSINESS THERE!! You can't lose money year after year and expect to be around when claims are made!!

But you have to understand LWNJ logic. They believe that they can DEMAND something and then it works as they have it set in their tiny little brains that it WILL work if they make the rules. RARELY is that the case since they REFUSE to play by the SAME RULES that MUST be played by if you want to remain in business.

And why should he?  Just so a liberal dope like you can have something else to complain about with DeSantis?
Have you ANY idea how insurance companies decide on their rates?
Could it be that maybe they charge higher rates if you live in a community with higher crime, more looting, more homeless, more drug dealers, etc. than in a community that's safer WITH FEWER PAYOUTS INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO MAKE?
For all we know, you bought a cheaper home in a high-crime area, and now you're realizing the reasons why it was cheaper?
Maybe you should try to understand why HUGE numbers from Democrat-run states like CA, IL, NY, NJ, OR, DC, and WA ARE ALL MOVING TO A Republican-run states to get away from the far more dangerous states that have such high crime and are sanctuary cities that are now being overrun with illegals, which will now cause those cities and states to dramatically increase their taxes to the rest of the residents?  Why don't you go compare your insurance rate to that of similar homes in San Francisco, LA, Chicago, Philadelphia, or Baltimore, and recognize that reality!

Ignorant libs like you belong in the cities and states that have the kind of idiotic Democrat representatives that YOU vote for and love so much!
So DEAL WITH IT, MORON!
