Major drone strike hits residential area of Moscow in apparent 1st (msn.com)

Several drones struck Moscow early on Tuesday, damaging residential buildings in the Russian capital, the mayor said. The pre-dawn attack "damaged several buildings" in a residential area, according to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin. Residents were evacuated from their apartments as first responders were rushed to the scene, Sobyanin said."All municipal emergency services are currently at the scene of the incident," the mayor wrote on his official Telegram channel. "They will find out the circumstances of what happened."
Casualties are unknown at this time. It's believed to be the first major drone strike on a residential area of Moscow.
Eight drones targeted Moscow, five of which were shot down while the other three were jammed, causing them to veer off course, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The rare attack came as Russia continues to wage war in neighboring Ukraine. The Russian defense ministry called Tuesday's drone strike a "terrorist attack" by the "Kyiv regime" and said Moscow will react "as harshly as possible to the actions of Ukrainian militants."
A senior Ukrainian commander told ABC News on Sunday that preparations for that counteroffensive were in full swing.Col. Oleksandr Bakulin, who commands Ukraine’s 57th motorized infantry brigade, made up of around 6,000 men near the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut, said the counteroffensive "will not begin with one single strike." The limited Ukrainian offensive actions near Bakhmut over the past two weeks were part of a bigger plan that will eventually lead to a more significant counteroffensive by Ukrainian forces, according to Bakulin.

If that's the result of a "major drone strike" then Ukraine is in serious trouble.

Looks like they're using spitballs.

Not even remotely as evil as Biden is. Biden will burn in hell where he belongs.

A Ukrainian businessman offered cash for a drone to land in red square 🟥

Wonder if someone was trying to get some small reward for this

Ukraine does not have a drone that can reach Moscow. This is either a false flag or partisans pulled it off. Russians fighting for freedom penetrated 20 km into southern Russia. Partisans destroyed gov. buildings and captured 5 pieces of heavy equipment. Sabotage of the rail lines is occurring in Russia.

It is not necessary to launch a drone from Ukraine to reach Moscow.
Russia is huge, and there are surely plenty of places from where dissidents or Ukrainian sympathizers could launch a drone.
Russia could be a modern country like other countries rather than an exporter of raw materials as it is today. But that would require a more free and open society than the closed dictatorship that Putin needs to maintain his kleptocracy.

Drones are usually powered by electric motors and their range is limited by the weight of the batteries needed to power them.
I am not an expert on drone technology, but It seems to me that these were probably launched from one or more locations closer to Moscow than Ukraine.
