What I KNOW to be truth is that LOANS that exceed a certain amount of deposits allowed BY LAW To be loaned, requires a BANK to borrow from the FEDERAL RESERVE in exchange for the FED RECEIVING GOVERNMENT BONDS for that amount of cash. You are a true ****. You only mention half of what takes place. The Federal Reserve digitally debits and credits commercial banks with "money" which banks in turn use make loans to individuals and companies. The Fed creates or contracts the money supply and uses banks to get the new money out to the public through new loans. Banks are simply a conduit for the Fed to adjust the money supply. However, it doesn't always work that way. One example is Investment Banks, which can and do make loans off of private money.
