Cable news has been dying a slow death for a while. CNN is just one of the casualties. in 1988.. there were not all that many readily available news sources. Now, there are countless outlets.. why do you need CNN? I know that I do not. Last watched CNN in 2001 or so. I remember changing the channel to CNN (channel 32 in Boise at that time) for coverage of 9/11. it had been quite the night before hand. Typical schedule was 12 pm to 830 pm at a bread factory. Well, the guy after me no-showed and so I was there until 130 am or so. Was awakened at 9 am by my nephew about planes flying into buildings and in my groggy state of mind went for channel 32. that was the last time that I recall watching CNN deliberately and not just passing by.
