If fact, if they betrayed me and did what this girl's family is doing, I would come back as a spook, or rather a ghost, and haunt them to the grave.

A 19-year-old man has been charged in the killing of popular California bakery owner Jennifer Angel who was dragged to her death by a getaway car during a robbery gone wrong.But her family is calling for no jail time because it "goes against her social justice beliefs".Ishmael Jenkins Burch was arrested in Oakland on suspicion of felony murder with robbery enhancements on June 5, court records show. He was first taken into custody in San Francisco on June 2 on battery charges."Anarchist" baker Angel was robbed while in her car in the 2000 block of Webster Street, in Oakland, on February 6.The robber ran to a waiting car to flee. Angel attempted to retrieve her belongings and was knocked to the ground during a struggle, according to police.
Angel became caught in the fleeing vehicle's door and was dragged more than 50 feet before falling off. She suffered serious head injuries as a result and was rushed to the Highland Hospital Trauma Unit but sadly died two days later.Her loved ones said in a statement shortly after her death that she was a "social justice activist" who "did not believe in state violence, carceral punishment, or incarceration as an effective or just solution to social violence and inequity."Their statement was reiterated in the wake of Burch's arrest as they urged prosecutors not to jail the suspect. He is currently being held without bail at Santa Rita Jail and is set to appear in court on July 14.Her family is "committed to pursuing all available alternatives to traditional prosecution, such as restorative justice," the post on GoFundMe said.
The family added: "We know Jen would not want to continue the cycle of harm by bringing state-sanctioned violence to those involved in her death or to other members of Oakland's rich community.

A death caused in the commission of a felony is considered murder. That's the law.
 

He only wanted to commit felony aggravated robbery not murder. Is that going to be is defense strategy? Good luck with that. But, then again, O.J. got off and he committed a double homicide. Maybe the case is won during the jury selection process. I can't believe O.J. is still alive. In the good old days, he would be dead by now. Growing up in the Christian Church there must have been a quarter of the men with Bruce some part of their name.

It references and honors Robert the Bruce, of Scotland.

As for the women, a bunch had Geraldine or Lois  in their names.  Why, I’ve not ever determined, except those names are Gaelic.

There are thousands of little Christian denominations and mine is teetering towards extinction.  We don’t recruit.  You’re born or marry into it, essentially.

In all my life I’ve never seen or heard of a Campbelitte that was gay, nor a short or poor  one.  My ancestors had to be a tall, white, pious bunch of well off religious zealots to leave Scotland and move here.

Our homes were crammed with books.  Our mothers were as beautiful as they were infamously hot tempered.
