Fabián ‘Fa’ Guzmán, a nonbinary-identifying undergrad at St. Lawrence University, were reportedly kicked out of a sorority over their gender identity.
The 22-year-old student said they (HE - Punch) were shocked and saddened when the Chi Omega national office told them they (HE) could no longer be part of the sorority. They were told they (HE) could not appeal, claiming this was gender-based discrimination.
Guzmán said they (HE) were “hurt” but still wanted back, as they (HE) shared in an Instagram clip, “It’s just really hard because I’ve given my heart and soul to the sorority because I love it.” They (HE) added, “I love my sisters, I love my sisterhood. I love the chapter’s history. I love everything (about it).”
