Earlier this week I woke up early to dig up a pipe in the backyard. There are fire ants here, and when they get on you they bite and then a few hours later the red blisters appear and they itch. For the ones I can easily access I squeeze them as hard as I can until blood oozes out and then I wait a few minutes and clear fluid comes up and I squeeze it again and repeat until no more fluid. Then I hit them with rubbing alcohol and hell yes it burns bad,  and the spot gets real agitated and looks really red and has a big ring around it.
But no more itching.

So... I was on my hands and knees working in the dirt and I was in shorts and a shirt and sandals, and no underwear.
Well I got bit a lot and way way up high on my thighs and I got bit on my scrotum (my balls). Just one bite. So what did I do? Well I did my usual (see above) and then I rubbed my balls with rubbing alcohol. Yes. It burns, but in a few seconds the intense burn goes to a hot heat and radiated into my body and felt relaxing. Daily I have been cleaning it and now it feels like just washing my balls. So yeah, maybe the body gets used to it.

Moral of the story, wear underwear when working in the yard.
