The White House is open to studying research that details methods of deflecting sunlight away from the earth’s surface to cool the atmosphere and halt “climate change.”“Stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI) and marine cloud brightening” is mentioned in the paper that reportedly also sets out unspecified research in “cirrus cloud thinning.”

While acknowledging that the risks of meddling with Earth’s atmosphere are likely to be as great or greater than those limiting climate change mitigation efforts to ground-level initiatives like limiting greenhouse gas emissions, the report highlighted the critical importance of being able to detect when and where “other public and private actors” – those with a greater risk tolerance or, more ominously, less understanding of the issues involved – were experimenting with the technology.“A research program characterized by transparency and international cooperation would contribute to a broader base of trust around this issue,” it states, perhaps hinting at the lack thereof that has accrued to private sector experiments in the field, which have already resulted in at least one country – Mexico – banning geoengineering entirely. Any research into the science must thus also include research into the technology’s societal aspects, such as potential geopolitical fallout, risk to human health, and how its implementation will affect populations compared to how those populations would otherwise be affected by climate change, according to the report.Despite 44 pages of contemplating the ins and outs of modeling experiments in Sun-dimming to save the planet, the Biden administration in a statement accompanying the report reassured readers that there are “no plans underway to establish a comprehensive research program focused on solar radiation modification.”The European Commission published its own report on the national security implications of climate change on Friday, expressing strikingly similar disinterest in engaging in solar radiation modification itself but intense concern over whether others were experimenting with it. The EU’s climate policy chief warned against attempting large-scale geoengineering projects without full cooperation from the bloc.

I’m convinced that changing the climate of the earth is beyond man’s power to do if he tried with everything he can devise.
Biden is only doing this study as a sop to young voters, who are convinced that their grand children will suffer, if we do nothing.
A year from now every Republican candidate for office will have to oppose even studying ways to battle global warming. They must also oppose abortion rights, trans rights, and Busch Light beer.
Whatever works to help Democrats win the youth vote, I’m for it.

Science should be scary because all experimentation especially military black budget experimentation always has consequences and are devoid of any moral standards to reach the deired results.
For over 30 years now the Canadian and U.S. military have been experimenting and perfecting geo-engineering methods for use in WARFARE using the Skies over North America as their testing grounds and these projects have no Parliamentary or Congressional oversight.
They have caused Droughts, Hurricanes , Tornadoes, Massive rainfall, Massive snowstorms, Record cold snaps, Record heat waves , create thundrrstorms and focused lightning. ...and can move the Jet stream at will.
These military projects are a huge part of the Climate change scam over the last 30 years ....
and don't care about the human, economical or environmental costs associated with perfecting their methods .....
You claim that solar dimming would benefit mankind ....
so, here is your chance to back it up ....
Let's start with photosynthesis and if solar dimming would benefit plant-life, marine life , our food chain and human beings....

I don’t believe man could change the climate if he tried, because our world is billions of years old.
If you pick up a sedimentary rock you’ll see marine fossils on it, which means we are standing at the bottom of what once was the ocean.
There’s no proof why, all that climate change occurred eons before human existence.
If the climate is slowly changing today, man isn’t capable of explaining it, much less causing it.
