Short article. Echoes my sentiment about old movies, TV, etc.

CEO's today pretty much suck...

Remastered 1980's "Metropolis".
https://youtu.be/leAVS0OC6Ts

I watch it every decade or so, that way it will always be good.

I see details in old movies that explode stupid modern myths.
One of my favorites:
Ginger Rogers did EVERYTHING Fred Astaire did... but in heels.
She most assuredly did not. Just watch closely.

Don't get me wrong about their being a great dance team. Fun to watch.
Feminists can blow it out their collective asses though.

Other tidbits:
Randolph Scott as an icon of manhood.
He always put me in mind of an insurance or door-to-door encyclopedia salesman.

Fashion and language amuses me:
Old westerns with women in make/hairdos of the day.
Cowboys with combed hair and clean work clothes.
Staged arguments as though on an actual stage in front of an audience.
Faces 3" apart while talking to each other.
