No teenager ever, thought they were handsome enough or pretty enough.Skans » 05 Jul 2023, 10:38 am » wrote: ↑ A good looking teen will eventually socialize. If the teen is homely, then what he/she needs to work on is becoming more handsome or beautiful. That builds self confidence.
As for being worried about cleanliness, I find this is more of a problem with teens that have nothing challenging to do other than sit around and worry about such things. When you are in your teens, you really need to be working on yourself, not worrying about how to socialize.
When you are in your 20's, you need to seek out real adventure.
If you survive your 20's, then as you approach 30, you need to concentrate on those things needed to start a family. If you don't survive your 20's (not due to drugs or alcohol), well, then you probably had one hell of a time!
In my next life....

the only thing I'm a bit nervous over. is mouse turds in the kitchen.
Truer words were never written! They think the whole world is staring at them; judging them. It takes them some time to realize that no one (except perhaps their parents) really gives a darn about them.Bruce » 05 Jul 2023, 10:59 am » wrote: ↑ No teenager ever, thought they were handsome enough or pretty enough.
Another time, my daughter won a rodeo Queen contest when she was 16 and her boyfriend was 18, who won the bull riding contest that same evening.Skans » 05 Jul 2023, 11:13 am » wrote: ↑ Truer words were never written! the dr office was the worst...I'd get lightheaded because of the lack of oxygen exchange and hot...I always put a finger between chin and mask to get fresh air...
yep, to hell in a hand basket...

THERE's the little girl.Bruce » 05 Jul 2023, 10:10 am » wrote: ↑ Yesterday I was in St Louis at Grant’s farm and they had a free water park. You can see the Clydesdale stables, huge horses running all over. There are exotic animals, scenic walkways, it’s all courtesy of the taxpayers of Glenwood, and they don’t look like they are hurting.
That water park was packed to the gills with the exact same kids as we once were, all of them old enough to swim and too young to drive. Parents were there watching them.
If a 15 year old girl doesn’t want to have fun with her friends today, it’s not COVID’s fault last year, or the year before.
She has problems with her friends.

she won't go out...
she won't visit friends...
she believes her school is filthy...
she believes her classmates are filthy...
she won't shower anywhere but in her own bathroom...
it's like WTF?
mom and dad have been working diligently with her to get rid of her fears...it's been a tough climb as they have made progress, but still have a long row to hoe...
the gubment, CDC and the schools have miserably failed the youth of today...makes me wonder how many other countless stories like this are there...

I’m so damned old, the roller rinks were places to take a kid that wouldn’t socialize when I was 15.
Today it seems water parks serve the same purpose.
