Liberal Democrats, members of the looney tunes far left, were the original vaccine skeptics.
The same bastards that publish guidelines for men to chest feed babies today.
Our local Disciples of Christ Church is not, a genuine old time Christian Church but it’s awfully close. Disciples are not the same, totally intense, twenty four hours a day of Christian lifestyle we used to be.
For example, the Disciples often teach kids to read before they are six. We never did.
And Disciples let anybody join the church. If you grew up in a Christian Church you had to be eight years old and pass a rigorous examination.
But every Disciple got their shots, and had been getting shots all their lives. Public health is next to public education and total, unconditional loyalty to America no matter who is the President, at the Disciples churches.
I simply cannot imagine counseling innocent people to not take vaccines.
Christ keeps a record of everything we do or do not do.
Talk about a one way ticket straight to hell.

I was born and raised in another small town.
If there were any Democrats at all, none admitted it.
It took awhile for everyone to get a polio vaccine in 1955 and 1956.
When the vaccines came, our local doctor had his nurse inject every child of a certain age, on the steps of the local hospital.
But nobody kept track of the children. It was up to the parents.
The next case of polio in town, the only son of the nurse who had given the shots, almost died. If he’s alive today he’s still in a wheelchair.
When my time came, for the polio vaccine it was a sugar cube, and the protocols had changed.
The doctor and that same nurse came, inside the school to the second grade.
And we got the cube, whether we wanted the cube or not, or the teacher would have paddled us, until we took it.
I can remember the nurse checking all of us, we had to open our mouths.
Of course, we each one knew she was to blame for Robert being in his wheelchair, so we gobbled it right on down.

Jenna Bush is a liberal television host.
At first Biden offered vaccines to illegals and then without much fanfare made them get a shot. All legal immigrants had to get shots. It was in all the papers at te time.
We have two barbers in town.
One is over 90 the other middle aged.
I alternate between them.
Neither were vaccinated, both Republicans, both good friends.
For over a year, I had a theory that barbers must have such good immunity they’d not catch Covid.
The younger barber once told me, in the last year Covid has put 15 men sitting in your chair in the graveyard and I’ve not caught it yet.
I said are you, a secret Democrat?

Them came the Delta variant.
It almost killed the younger barber and did kill the old barber’s wife.
It’s not fun, going to the old man’s barber shop now.

His wife was the clerk at just about every auction held in town for maybe 70 years.
They both were in the same hospital, and both too old to put on ventilators.
Ventilators are for younger people, and besides a ventilator would have likely killed her anyway.
She used to come to the barbershop every day, since 1952, to bring him his dinner.
After she died, he hired another barber to open the shop, and he comes in about one.
If you can watch that and not just burn up inside at those bastards like Steve Scalice you’re better than me.

To justify not getting vaccinated.
Were I in charge vaccines would be mandatory, no exceptions, or else.
I grew up watching Robert wheeled down the halls because his mother thought she’d wait a while to have her own child vaccinated.
Amd my mother and the other mothers at the Christian Church were the only women in town that would ever speak to her, after that.
She vaccinated their kids, and not hers.
