There are two possibilities here, neither good.

The security clearance to be working in the West Wing should be clear off the charts. Forget who is President, that is the command center of the United States and the free world. The people with access to the President can kill him at will.

Or the security should be tightened for tourists.
And that is bad too. The White House belongs to the people.

I supported Bush over Gore in 2000.

He was the last decent and honorable Republican President elected, twice, although McCaiin and Romney also were honorable men.

But it insults my intelligence to accuse Bush of 9/11 being an inside job.

A little group of Muslims, with a budget of a few hundred thousand dollars, planned and executed the most devastating sneak attack since Pearl Harbor.

But they missed the White House. That was their primary  target.  They intended to kill Bush, and came damned close to it.

Bush didn’t plan suicide, did he?
