Near the small town of Mack’s Creek, perched high on a bluff, is a public high school where my first thoughts about girl looked like undressed occurred sometime in the late spring of 1962, when I was four years old.
My mother taught at Wheatland, and as part of her duties coached the junior high girl’s basketball team, which in the spring was part of a day long tournament held at Mack’s Creek, on a Saturday.
The school bus left Wheatland before the sunrise, and I remember being cranky and pissed off at going, even though I took my battery powered, roll cap firing machine gun and a spark generating ray gun pistol with me, and some other toys I don’t remember now.
But when I climbed on the bus, it was just full of young teen girls in basketball outfits, which improved my spirts considerably.
A couple of them came up to me, and asked Mama if I could sit in the back with them, which she agreed. I left my toys with her, as I had different interests.
I had a good time, taking with those girls, until I started yawning and looking sleepy.
One asked if I’d like to sleep on her lap, and I snuggled right up. She smelled better, than anything I can remember in my life before that.
In the sixty years since, I wonder if she groomed me, or if I was just born to like girls.
I played all day outside, and many an imaginary German fell before my machine gun I sat up on a rock wall outside, while those girls played inside the gym.
Then I slept all the way to Wheatland, in the lap of what I imagined might be my future girlfriend, although I was just a little boy dreaming the impossible..
As I get older I realize every little boy who likes other boys, had to have that first time, he thought about it.
If I ever decide to turn gay, I want to become a lesbian.

I can understand why, we men like the girls.
What baffles me, is why some of them, like us sometimes.

A woman's scent is intoxicating, mesmerizing actually. Perhaps its the same for them when they are around a man, I don't really know. I just know how their scent affects me.
