The congress could have passed a law when your party held it.

They didn't.

The pResident overstepped his authority. Whether for a cause you agree with or a cause you don't, a good citizen is HAPPY when executive over-reach is corrected.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to give a significant tax cut to a group of people who DO NOT pay a significant amount of taxes.

Paying student loans really does cost money...tax cuts don't. Money spent by government costs us...letting people keep their own money does not.

It's the elected officials who owe us. They are the one's who control the taxing and the spending.

So, I think EVERYONE needs to run out and get a $65,000 CAR LOAN and then whine enough that "I can't possibly pay this back" and DEMAND that GOVERNMENT cancel ALL the debt in perpetuity and that way NO ONE ever has to pay for a CAR ever again!!

I mean after all, a CAR is more of a NECESSITY than that COLLEGE EDUCATION in "women's studies' could EVER be worth.

ACTUALLY FORGIVNESS IS written in the loan agreements that after a certain amount of effort has been... in years applied... forgiveness is legit.

Some of the financial institutions have not been keeping the books in order thus a lot payments did not get recorded ............... of course forgiveness is in order. Fake Republicans love money scandals.......that Bush name is risky business.
