He is a respectful and sincere man being used by goons, thugs, murderers, and thieves in Russia to justify the plunder of Ukraine.
He spent so many years in Russia he has sympathy for the Russian people, which is not misplaced.
Putin is popular in Russia. They have only themselves to blame for Russia being regarded as an outlaw state.
