They just may prevent him from running. Does that help the democrats? They want a wounded Trump, not a martyr. I personally hope they catch this hagfish loaded mail truck.

Trump is by far the weakest Republican against Biden.

All other Republicans, even Trump Lite DeSantis, are sane, sober, sensible and respectable, compared to Trump.

The only advantage Trump has is fanatical loyalty of his base.

For pure politics Trump is an advantage to Democrats.

And even if he pleads out, Trump will become more of a martyr than he already is to his supporters.

For all his faults Trump identifies with his base.  He tells them everything they ever wished to hear.

But as a matter of principle if one candidate loses, and his appeals have ran out, he commits the crime of sedition if he doesn’t step aside.

Looks like Mainman is worried. Otherwise, why even address anything about Trump?

Andrew Jackson was full on crazy and Teddy Roosevelt half crazy.  

Trump is worse, because Trump is not the slightest crazy.  Trump is deluded and truly believes completely irrational things.

If you or me ran for an election and we lost, we wouldn’t blame voter fraud or rigged voting machines.

And if somebody came to us saying we can gather a bunch of fake electors and then have Mike Pence count those instead, we’d say I’d really rather not go to prison, no thanks.

Trump could pass a polygraph on all the untrue **** he truly believes is true.

I hope he takes a deal, but if not he ought to die in prison.  

Not to punish Trump, but deter future Trumps.

depends on who will step up if he falls.  DeSantis looks weak.  Who else ya got?  I personally would welcome a sane moderate Republican like Hogan, the former governor from Maryland who might take great strides in bringing us back from MAGA insanity.
