The Department of Justice (DOJ) has dropped campaign finance charges against alleged ‘crypto scammer’ Sam Bankman-Fried, who was accused of misusing customer deposits and who made $90 million in campaign contributions to around 300 predominantly left-wing political candidates or action committees (PACs).

I believe the reason the charges were brushed under the rug was because it would implicate too many top level Democrats if they were to follow through with SBF's prosecution, but that just me.

The 300 Democrats were disclosed. They are legal, It’s legal to give money to the party of your choice.
He lived in the Bahamas, a sovereign nation, in the Caribbean. Why he lived there is the Bahamas is a tax avoidance and dark money haven.
If you’ll read on, you’ll see it was all the dark money he gave Republicans only, he was charged with.
Dark money, is called dark money because it’s not disclosed. It’s usually criminal.
The Bahamas extradited him, on condition Garland not disclose Bahamian bank secrets ABOUT DARK MONEY.

Also, the "only Republicans got dark money" claim was made by Sammy himself... and we all know how credible he is.
Now, we'll never know what pol's hands got greased in this deal because the DOJ has dropped the charges to appease the Bahamian Government.
