The electoral College was the ONLY reason that the United States came into being in the FIRST place... in 1776 !  The states, EVEN THEN, knew that unless there was some "Constitutional" protection, the large states would DICTATE to the small states... the Electoral College WAS that protection !!  AND THAT was how the agreement was voted on and was passed !!   SO NOW... AS it was then... SO it is TODAY... 

IF the Electoral College were to be abolished, 90% of the states would DEMAND that they secede from the "modified union"... BECAUSE the agreement that was approved all those year ago had be BROKEN by SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS !

IF California had the GALL and AUDACITY to do that.. I would LEAVE California... and I'M SURE SO would MILLIONS of others... BECAUSE...

First, it does allow every vote to count...every vote in every state counts and, in most states, determines which candidates get the electors of that state.  That's one lie you told, so far.

It's the bogus republicans such as Koch, ALEC, MAGA who are throwing republicans under the bus on many issues. Democrats of all persuasions are their only hope.

Remember it is the democrats that are working for the old school republicans, republicans for choice, Catholics for choice plus the many other issues that impact republicans. Republican and Democrat business owners need immigrant workers to provide good service most immigrant workers are anything but lazy.......

Frankly I do not like how Biden resorts to compromise extreme. It's time to put many issues such as these before the voters no matter the cost. I do not trust that many politicians on either side of the aisle at this point.

Any compromise should have the voters consent. I did not vote for anyone to cut deals that involves screwing:

1. Social Security

2. Medicare

3. Medicaid

4. Voters Rights

5. USPS

6. Woman's Right To Choose

7. Not paying National Debt bills on time as this could influence thousands of employees taking place as we speak and will definitely mess with the world wide economy.

8. The border and immigrants = the USA needs immigrant workers to have successful customer service.

9. Public Education = as in ALEC and the GOP nationwide defunding public education

Why didn't they do it?

Because of two reasons.

The first reason is most Democrats are like all Republicans used to be.  We hold the Constitution to be sort of like a civic Bible.   It’s the **** rules of the game.  It’s sacred.  We don’t even imagine changing it.

The second reason is eliminating the electoral college would require a successful constitutional amendment and that is absolutely impossible politically .
