Believe Oppenheimer should be mandatory viewing. We are playing chicken with forces that can literally destroy the planet. This isn't some long term prolonged death from a warming climate, it's the thermonuclear death of billions of people. Yes Russias army sucks if we prop Ukraine up with billions of dollars of Nato weapons. Russia has always sucked on the battlefield. They lost millions fighting Hitler, many shot by their own officers when they tried to retreat. The Russian threat was never conventional after they developed thermonuclear and neutron weapons, it's nuclear.

I think POLAND may have decided they have lived with the Russian threat LONG enough... AND, if they start something...THEY, along with other FREE eastern European nations, will END THEM... ONE way or another !

The Soviets pushed Germany back west 1,000 miles

and placed their flag on the Reichstag in Berlin......suck on the battlefield?    

In ww2 Germany had the greatest war machine ever built.

the only solution is to make zelinsky sign a peace treaty and forget about crimea. no more weapons to ukraine

Agree. Russia wants a buffer zone from Nato. Nato said they wouldn't expand one foot eastwards in exchange for dropping the iron curtain. Nato reneged, Ukraine is an understandable red line. Need to agree that they never join nato, an agreement that was rejected before the invasion. Likely the rejection justified the invasion from the viewpoint of Russia.

At the cost of how many Russian lives? They sucked on the battlefield. Had a few extraordinary snipers but their ground forces generally were poor. They made it to Berlusconi because the other allies were kicking their *** from the other side. Russians were valuable Cannon fodder. 
 
They got raped by goat humpers in Afghanistan. US didn't win there but we didn't lose nearly as spectacularly as Russia. 

Russias deterrence isn't its conventional forces, it's the nukes.

Lives?  They won.  Scoreboard.  They killed 70% of all Nazis killed in the war as most of the German army was on the east front.
When you beat an army back 1,000 miles you are likely to lose many soldiers.

Affy, meh, thats a wash. Soviets left after 8 years.  WASH DC spent $TRILLIONS and 20 years - got chased out.

Russia isnt running out of artillery - NATO is.

Pissed is putting it mildly. When it was suggested that Russia was paying bounties on US troops in Afghanistan I remember people calling it an act of war. We changed the face of the middle east over three buildings and 4000 people. Imagine we would be pretty pissed if Russia armed those that killed 250,000 of their people. We should have stopped this with diplomacy. No nato membership for Ukraine was a reasonable request. This was all avoidable. 
 

Wagner lost at least 20,000 taking Bakhmut. Belarus army is not trained to anywhere near NATO standards. An attack on Poland would not only be the end of Wagner, it will be the end of the leader of Belarus. Poland will annex a good part of Belarus after a bloodbath.

plus zelinsky said he wanted to fight russia to get crimea back along with joining nato. and the reason the war continues is because zelinksy wont sign a peace  treaty unless he gets crimea back.

Even in WW2, Russians would have been speaking GERMAN if it wouldn't have been for AMERICAN money, manufacturing, technology, ammunition, and firepower... Yes, they MAY have nuclear weapons... but WHO KNOWS if they even WORK any longer?  MOST of them are Cold War era, and so, MANY years old. 

SHOULD we be COWERED into letting them win... by THREATS ?

At SOME POINT... You have GOT to have the balls to FIGHT BACK... or WHAT you end up living ... is NOT REALLY "life" !
