This month, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel brought criminal charges against Republican "fake electors" in the state for a similar plot.


Trump has a number of other legal headaches to deal with, including upcoming trials in New York over his business dealings and his endorsement of a multi-level marketing scheme, another rape and defamation trial from E. Jean Carroll, and several other lawsuits and investigations.

Now he has to go into court and prove, beyond reasonable doubt that:
1) Each and every Trump claim was untrue. That's right, he has to PROVE voter fraud DIDN'T happen.
2) That Trump knew AT THE TIME the claims were untrue.

This is nothing but more spin, trying to reelect Joe Biden.

Grand Jury indictments require hard evidence ........ to include talking individuals revealing Trump actions. Grand Jury Indictments do not come easy.

Oh please.  I guess you've never heard legal experts say a decent prosecutor can get a ham sandwich indicted.

Probably the only reason these new indictments aren't a slam dunk loss for Smith is the venue.
 

Trump is THE most investigated politician in American history. The inability to find any criminality actually gives me comfort, should he win re-election.

No, actually they don't.   Grand juries only hear what the prosecutor wants them to hear. 
They can make any claim they want, and if there is 1 witness supporting the prosecutor, and 12 witnesses supporting the defendent, the prosecutor can bring only the 1 supporting witness in front of the grand jury.

That's why they say you can "indict a ham sandwich". 
 

Predict they will make Trump an offer to drop all charges in exchange for him dropping out of the election. Trump will release recordings and proof of this secretive offer. Offer will be withdrawn as a result of breaking the publicity clause but it's existence will belie the intent of the political prosecution.
